University of North Carolina, Hulu Not Moving Forward With Season Documentary

UNC originally planned to take part in a docuseries with Hulu to provide behind-the-scenes insight on the journey of the program through Bill Belichick’s first season with the team. Belichick announced the plan to the team in August, and the team shared that announcement on social media.
“I’m excited to share with you that we will be doing that with EverWonder and Hulu that will showcase our football program,” Belichick said in the video. “This is about the UNC football program. There’s obviously a lot of interest in it, and it will stream on Hulu later this fall.
“It’s gonna feature the players working hard, which you guys do. It’s about the players improving and getting better through their hard work, which you do. And a program starting from where it started from several months ago to wherever it’s gonna do during the course of the season, which, of course, we determine on the field. It’ll show our commitment to winning, it’ll show our commitment to the team, and that’s our priority.”

I was actually looking forward to watching the shite show from behind the scenes during the offseason. Kind of sucks it got cancelled.

Did yall really expect UNC to be playoff contenders this year?
I get that it’s popular to pile on right now because of the GF situation - but I think yalls expectations were way too high for a first time CFB coach doing a total rebuild

I originally had UNC marked as must see-TV before the season began. I thought that even if they didn't have talent to compete with the elites, they would prove to be a disciplined, well coached, team that played with heart and toughness.
In only a few games, all of that was proven to be completely untrue. The team is completely trash on all levels.

you’ve said this in multiple threads. no one thought they were going to be a playoff team. conversely, no one thought they were going to be the worst P4 team in the country either

And I'm of the opinion that you can look past some of the play on the field, but everything else that's going on, it deserves to be ridiculed and made fun of. It's not often you get to see a 70-something year old hall of fame football coach crash out behind a young piece of arse. We have to take advantage of these situations while we can.

It could be way worse too. Both Clemson and TCU called off the dogs w/a ton of time left in the game.

Nobody expected them to be a playoff team, but nobody also expected them to be one of the worst P4 teams in the country.
They were coming off a 6-6 year (3-5 in ACC) and had won 8 and 9 games the 2 years prior. So they were a pretty mediocre program before this year. So far this year, their only 2 wins have come against FCS opponents and all 3 of the losses were by at least 4 scores.
UNC is 123 out of 136 in average scoring differential. The only P4 team ranked worse is Oklahoma State.

They were in a bowl game last year. They haven’t even been competitive in a bad conference. He deserves no grace at this point.

Here’s where they get none of my sympathy…they came in and began acting like they’re better than college coaches (not just belichick) with the way they do things. They let good players from the program walk and were smug about it, then went out and grabbed all these portal guys that are obviously worse than what they had before. They’re cold towards the alumni and former players.
