Draft value for Curiel. And he’s a better OF, anyway.

Which is ultimately a recruiting benefit. That and fulfilling promises, which again ties into recruiting.

Unless he has some sort of major dropoff like Braswell did last season seems unlikely

Stanfield was one of the best hitters on the team in conference play hitting .326 with 15 XBH (in just 95 AB) and had a .420 OB%....all at the bottom of the lineup

No surprise IMO. Probably they're likely our leadoff and nine hole hitters as well. Thursday can't come quick enough

I misteat your typo as “get the ball” and was like Stanfield is a very good fielder. He gets to plenty of balls.

If you don’t hit you don’t play. He has to be more consistent

Loved Stanfield and his .414 OB Pct. in the 9 hole last season. Glad he is back.

Curiel played CF a lot last fall
Against Samford in Biloxi he had a nice running catch in CF

Someone will have to beat out Stanfield in left field
Will be interesting to see how Harden translates coming from JUCO
I don't think Patrick as a fr will unseat him

Will see who else Jay works in the OF, maybe someone like Braun or depending on how OF shakes out maybe even a Tanner Reaves gets a look

Definitely more #'s on the infield so once he gets a feel for the infield spots outside of SS (milam) maybe he works some of those guys into OF

Stanfield was clutch in the postseason. If he came up with runners on base, he got the big hit. I'm thrilled that he is back for another season.

He had the same exact batting average as Milam. We want him benched as well I assume?

Milam doesn’t actually have to hit. He’s the only viable SS on the team.
