Whelp I am off work til Friday and today was the day to pull all of my halloween animatronics and halloween stuff out of the attic. Get in the attic and start moving shite around I am working through Christmas stuff and then I see the drywall buckle. I stop while walking on the ceiling joints then BOOM POW BOOM my entire attic drywall
floor/ceiling falls about half my shite in storage hits the garage floor. After the dust settles I walk back to the ladder climb down from the attic shut the garage and it's time for alcohol. My day and week just fricking changed. Just Smh and forming plan B now. Anyone had unexpected situations come up and how did you do with handling it? I got a little time right now to listen

Looks good on paper, but in reality, probably not the best way to handle a situation.

Drinking is probably the worst thing you could do right now. I see you have an avatar of a squirrel drinking beer. Where you drunk when you loaded the attic?

You may need rehab.

I normally don't but this day had so much potential but now my days off will notbe filled with Halloween enjoyment but cleanup and fixing shite.

Wait you had stuff directly on the drywall and didn’t have the attic sheeted with plywood to put stuff on?

Lol. I do consume but usually not this early. I just looked at the carnage climbing down and a cold one just feels right.

Try to rig the wall back up as much as possible, baw, and have some kind of licensed and bonded service company come out to do an attic inspection.

When did the OT become a bunch of dorks in regards to alcohol. Let the guy have a beer before dealing with all this mess if he wants one

Two questions.
1. How big a baw are you?

2. Did you have stuff sitting directly on the drywall in the attic?

We should all strive to be alcoholics when we grow up I guess

I'm confused. Do you not have plywood floors in the part of your attic where you store things? If not, why on Earth on are you putting weight on top of the drywall ceiling?

May want to edit and add this to the OP as you’ll probably get a lot more responses asking
