I am sick and heartbroken watching that video, we all judged this kid based on the info that was made public during this investigation. How can this happen? People need to answer for ruining this kids life and ultimately costing him his life.

Today.

And that trooper needs to be investigated.

Definitely. And EVERY case he worked on should be investigated. Because believe me, that was not the first time he falsified documents. EVERY ticket or crime he was part of, now comes into question.

I don’t know about jail…. But probably sued yes.

Mistakes were certainly made, but I doubt they were “criminal” mistakes

I certainly understand the frustration though

I would think coercion by a state trooper is a criminal mistake. And I am not al lawyer but he sure did sound to me like he put words into the witnesses mouth more than twice.

You may be right… I guess I’m thinking the intent probably wasn’t to coerce or deceive/alter… it was probably “hey this is what we’ve heard and this is what we think happened don’t forget to mention that because we think it’s very important”

But yeah I guess that will all come out in the wash, one way or another

Interesting case for sure, all aspects. Be interesting to see how it all plays out

I guess my only point is, as we all should have been with Lacy…. A snap judgment of “they should be in jail” is probably the wrong initial approach. State trooper may very well be a bad dude that deserves jail, but it’s also possible he was just trying to do his job and made some mistakes in doing so

Did you see the body cam section of the interview? He literally said it several times .. and I probably imagined it but it was with a tone of “this is what happened”. “Don’t forget to put that …”.

I don’t have a timestamp but it may be in the early pages if you want to listen. I may just be too angry as a mother that this happened.

What I wasn't aware of from the video is that Kyren had a passenger with him.

That witness should have ended the misinformation right there. Was that person never questioned about the accident?

Cops directly kill people all the time and get away with it. They pulled up to a wreck and found a suspect as fast as they could. Government employees have two goals, do as little work as possible and don't risk their pension. And their bosses cover their asses all the time.

I didn’t. I brought him up last Saturday prior to the Ole Miss game. I never called him guilty, just said it was suggested in the media (which we know can be worthless).

Lots of lessons continue to be learned from this.

This board, specifically PT and OT, ALWAYS rush to judgement and want someone jailed ASAP. Half the time, the person they want buried under the prison is some poor sap whose name was floated by the media for no real reason.

Agreed LSP investigators need to be suspended pending an internal investigation

The woman who caused the accident, by swerving into the other lane, hitting the old man driver head on and killing him, lied in her written statement to police. She said she swerved because of Kyren passing the car in front of her. The video evidence shows this is false. Giving a false statement to police is a crime. She should probably also be sued by Kyren’s family.

So many people on here blamed him and were so sure it was his fault.

"I've driven that road. Karen is bad." Idiots per usual.

I think another contributing factor for making people willing to believe mere allegations is the shear amount of other poor driving related incidents by other college athletes around the country (Georgia being the most obvious example), but also recently the likes of Colin Hurley and his accident.

Makes you wonder why he or his attorney never came out publicly and made an adamant, direct statement about his lack of involvement. Was this video just found?
