Year | Ranking |Team
2015| 108 |East Carolina
2016| 115 |North Texas
2017| 68 |Florida
2018| 28 |Missouri
2019| 85 |Missouri
2020| 76 |Arkansas
2021| 109 |LSU
2022| 43 |LSU
2023| 14 |LSU
2024| 104 |LSU
2025| 109 |LSU

In 2022 and 2023 we had JD5 which juiced those numbers. Even including those years his average is the 78th ranked in rushing YPG.

If you exclude them then his OL units have paved the way for an average 89th ranked rushing attack.

There are FOUR OL on NFL rosters from last year and we ranked 104th in the country.

Players look soft and are constantly getting beat.

Please tell me why this man has a job at a place like LSU??????

He's awful. We'll know whether or not Brian Kelly is serious about winning by whether or not he fires Brad Davis and Joe Sloan. They both have been awful for several years now.

Never seen anything like it. Can’t gain a yard on the ground when we need to

I've been on this train for a minute now. Davis has never been good. He has landed good recruits. Like you said - multiple OL on NFL rosters and some starting and the only times he has had a decent running attack was with superman playing QB. In 23, Daniels probably rushed for 500+ yards on pass plays scrambling as the pocket was breaking down.

I'm not convinced Brad Davis is the main problem. He's certainly done a poor enough job to be replaced but the entire scheme looks broken.

We have 11 seasons of data that would indicate he is at least a part of the problem

I agree man he needs to fix it or he needs to go. He has to be aware of the obvious problems with the blocking scheme. His hands must be tied by Kelly because Ray Charles could see how bad it is.

That's damning evidence if I've ever seen it.

It’s astounding really. Pass blocking is supposed to be more difficult than run blocking. Run blocking is just find your guy and push them back. Which should be easy when you are 6’5” 315 lbs. I’m honestly at a loss

This has gotten old. BK always has to go a complete season with horrible coaches and then the fanbase waits after the season to see if that coach is fired or retained.

Every year it's something different. It's already gotten old!

It’s clearly a system/scheme problem.

Gotta totally ditch and overhaul the system/scheme…. Sloan and Davis gotta go

Those Missouri teams were the Drew Lock teams. So, he’s only been successful when a NFL caliber qb is running the offense. That may be our problem.

Good lawd Jayden was good

He was. In those seasons, the non-QB rushes per carry were also better. I suspect in part because defenses had to account for JD pulling the ball.

2024 - 4.58
