2025 National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence. Twice in the last five years. Additionally, 5 of the 8 National Merit Semifinalists at Catholic High School are St. Jude alumni. Best parochial elementary school in BR.

Can I see a list of the top 10 parochial elementary schools in BR? I feel like knowing which is #1 isn't enough information.

This the dude who’s kids don’t play sports. Basically the nerd version of travel ball dad.

Don’t think you’d ever see a St George parent bragging on the collective achievements adjacent to their offspring.

You might be a touch insecure if you can’t feel good about a local elementary school getting national recognition - for academics of all things.

Your kid: plant operator…$75k per year…high school football allstar.
Their kid: brain surgeon…$750k+ per year…..high school nerd.

My kid. 34 ACT and full rides to pick from coming out of SGS and BRMHS. Keep bragging on your kids classmates. I’ll see yall in Nashville on move in day…or likely not.

Bragging on your OWN kids is fine, clinging on to some other’s accomplishments to rationalize the sunk cost of your future MRS degree is lame.

St. Jude alum. Never really thought it was that rigorous outside of the math program. But that was a long time ago.

We live nearby so the plan for the kiddo is to go there or to Mayfair Lab.

It’s not. Lower tier academics and athletics. No one is commuting to freaking St Jude. Fake news op.

St George and Aloysius have 5 classes per grade now? Mercy has 4?

Jude has 2 and thats all they will ever have unless they buy the apartments to the left or the houses behind them. They just dont have the space those other schools do. With siblings getting priority it is becoming harder and harder to get in simply because of its size.

The BR population is moving southeast. Its the closest school to Harveston, Lexington, Uclub, and all the other neighborhoods around those. St. Jude really doesnt need to reach out much further than its bus route.

I get it. Small school, small brain trust, and local ambitions. Congrats I guess.
