I think in some way this loss is going to make this team better.

They will either go hard and grind making each other accountable or they are going to just quit and fall apart. Get Nuss healthy as possible with the 2 weeks off and then we need to figure out who deserves to start on the OL. The only 2 are safe in Adams and Moore at LT & C. Thompson has been bad so far but since he was brought in to start BK hasn’t tried other players. I thought Curne played well at RT, he's better than Weston Davis from what I’ve seen. Lastly, we need someone to play part time fullback and it needs to be Bo Bordelon. I’m not talking about him starting but having 5-10 snaps with a FB could help get the running game going.

I actually sort of agree. It will go one of 2 ways. I’m not as optimistic as OP as to which way it will go, but I’m not foreclosing on the possibility

I feel like the only way this team does better is if we do what we NEED to on offense and not what we WANT to. We are dead last in conference in running attempts. That has to change. It doesn’t matter if you are 3ypc, run the ball 30 times a game. You have to attempt balance or you get what OM did and what Bama did last year where they say we’ll just cover.

From everything I’ve seen over the last month, this group doesn’t seem like the type. If we go 3-0 over this next stretch, I’m all the way back in

shite man, last year after the USC game, which felt similar to this Ole Miss game, we ran off 6 straight. Yeah we got lucky in a few, but so do other teams. This defense should help create our own luck, offense MUST capitalize moving forward

Ah yes. We have now reached the point where people on here think losing is actually a good thing.

Sure. Lucky if they win 2 games out of SC, AtM, AL, OK, Vandy. 3 of those 5 with this fraud offense is asking too much for $100 million…

Five or ten years ago I would have agreed with the OP. In the NIL Portal era of show me the money mercenaries the concepts of team and pride have fallen by the wayside. IMHO College football as I have known it for nearly fifty years is D E A D!

I’m not being baited or fooled anymore by Kelly. He’s done. I’m not saying we won’t win 8 games on talent, but the Kelly era is over.

Need to move Bordelon to TE and let him block full time. The line desperately needs help picking up the stunts.

Yeah, losing usually makes you better. Especially when you have a pig headed dinosaur leading the troops.

Idk, it’s a double-edged sword. We are actually pretty balanced on 1st down - 77 rush attempts to 73 pass attempts. But then down/distance starts to play a factor. If we were constantly trying to run between the tackles for 0-3 yards, the criticism would just be “we need to stop wasting plays” instead of “we need to commit to the run.”

I do think Sloan is way too quick to abandon the run entirely.. but I can at least somewhat understand it when the passing game is at least working. It’s a lot harder to justify in a game like OM where the passing attack just isn’t working.

So I think there’s some truth to what you’re saying, but you need more than just commitment. Ultimately you need production.

They seem to block better with toss plays where the line is moving laterally. But we don’t do that more. Why?

Yep.

Hanny said on post game they will either get worse or they will get better.

Either they will try to establish some sort of rushing attack, maybe play with a different attitude like we saw out of Alabama and have a chance to go 10-2 or the wheels will fall off. Teams are going to force them to prove they can run, so of they don't improve, they legit may not win another conference game
