Per AI search
Spencer Rattler has a 0-9 overall record with the Saints across his 2024 and 2025 seasons, with a 0-6 record in 2024 and a 0-3 record so far in 2025. He holds the record for the longest losing streak to start a quarterback's career in franchise history, according to Sports Wire.
Here's a breakdown of his record:
2024: 0-6 record in 7 games played, with 6 starts.
2025: 0-3 record through the first three games of the current season.
So when he is 0-10, 0-11, when is enough enough?

He's 0-10 now I thought

Have you watched any of the games? I don't think we have lost any of the games because of Spencer specifically. We are 0-4 regardless of what QB on the current roster is under center.

What does this even mean? hes not spraying INTs? thats all it could mean.
What a silly way to look at it. Not hitting guys in the end zone is "losing because of". Doing almost nothing to win games is "losing because of". I truly, truly, am baffled by the bizarre inclination to defend Spencer Rattler despite seeing nothing that he will ever be a winning QB in this league. Its a strange position a ton of fans have latched onto.

I think it is 0-10, but not positive.

I am not defending him, I simply stated than we would be 0-4 regardless of whether Rattler or Shough started.

He has not hit Kizer level yet, 0-15; and is nipping at the heels of Jack Trudeau (had to google as I thought Rattler would be #2) who started 0-12

As bad as the Saints have been at the QB position, the strangest stat may be that before Rattler, the longest losing streak to start a QB's career was Kilmer at 0-5. And Kilmer should not even count because he actually started his career in SF, but I can't find data for guys that had their 1st career starts with the Saints.

Taysom Hill would be 5-0 thru 4 games.

This is most likely true, but at the same time this is a huge unknown. With the way this team played against Buff, could Shough have had a better game that Rattler. He most likely would not have had some of the runs, but he probably also doesn't constantly throw behind the WRs causing some difficult attempts to catch the ball.

Taysom Hill hasn't even practiced in pads with this team this season. I doubt he will even be ready once he's off of IR.

Baker Mayfield was an afterthought with the Browns and Panthers. It's too early to give up on Rattler.

This is the other arrow in the quiver that always gets used. Bringing up unknowns as if they are completely locked in and then using those as the other option.
"Rattler is just as good or better than this alternative that im creating specifically for him to be better than"
Look, i dont know. Hell, Shough could be better or worse. Who knows? Id just rather Shough do whatever he is going to do for the rest of the year and lose games than Rattler doing what he is doing and lose games. Simply because i feel like I KNOW that Rattler will never be a long-term, winning QB in this league. And we dont know that about Shough.

Why does it matter if the losses are his fault? If we are sitting on the number one pick is anyone on this board going to say "we should pass on a QB, we are set with Rattler..."?
I guess it's possible that some will, but most of us are going to want them to draft a QB.

The same exact thing was said about Baker. I'm not saying Rattler iis going to be great. I'm. Just pointing it all out.

Know how I know you don’t even watch the games?

I agree 100%. I believe Shough would have been week 1 starter if the O-line hadn't looked so bad in the pre season. Throwing Shough out there to set an NFL record on sacks or get injured doesn't do anything for us.
Maybe Shough makes his first start @ Chicago as their D isn't good. I don't think it would be a good idea to start him vs the Giants considering how good their D line is.

The coach isn't starting Shuck based on the defense or teams we play. Holy shite you fans are ridiculous.

Baker Mayfield was a Heisman winning QB who went 1-1 in the draft.
Thats not an apples to apples comparison.
He also clearly showed more "top end" in his time in CLE than Rattler. Not to mention that he lost his job and became the backup on 3 teams before finally becoming a super productive starter in his 6th season.
Ok, so Rattler COULD become productive in 5 seasons because a Heisman first overall pick did. Cool ok so what? That'll be with another team and has nothing to do with us.
