The problem isn’t the loss - it’s the lack of solutions

The oline’s looked the same as has Nuss. The running game issues and playcalling challenges have endured too. I think everyone thought the defense would compensate but against better teams, clearly that doesn’t happen
Losing a game is OK but I’m not sure the solutions are clear yet. Play harder isn’t a strategy

Maybe Kelly is incapable of fixing this. Maybe his time is up.

This is why our media had more balls to lay into BK. At this point we need these people to say something that hits a nerve because I'm tired of supporting someone like BK.

More than half of us saw this after week 3.
4-1 isn’t a bad place to be out of context.
The context is that our offense is horrid & they have no idea how to fix it. Didn’t even have a 3rd down package ready for MVB. Ran for < 60 yards against the 120 rush defense.
BK is obviously incompetent & this is just going to be Matt House the sequel.

Bk's solution to a monumental problem....play harder complementary football. These players have no idea what he is talking about and I don't think he could even spell complementary correctly. BK does nothing but deflect and never addresses / or even acknowledges obvious issues. He just says do the same thing in a complementary manner. When will he realize that he is asking for an impossibility with this playbook and Oline futility? This is truly an insane approach to a monumental problem.

Played the whole game without Durham, the whole second half without A Anderson, and Trey Green still clearly limited. They don’t come close to fixing everything, but once you lose those guys, the skill talent is average at best on this team.
Add a clearly injured QB and you’re screwed. The “solution” to the extent there is one, is to get healthy over the bye, and make sure Berry is ready to be a real player on this team splitting the load with Durham. 10+ touches each.
And, while scheme won’t change, BK has to call the game in an analytically sound way. Complimentary football with this defense/offense combo isn’t long field goals and conservative punts. It’s aggression on 4 down territory because the D can back you up. It doesn’t matter how shitty the offense is, taking 4 cracks to get 10 yards is hard to stop. See the last TD drive.
Got to find a way to go 3-0 over the next stretch before the bye, and win one of Alabama/OU. Break it into chunks and it looks more manageable.

And if we spent all this money in the portal then why not more on o linemen? It’s literally the difference between a championship vs our guys watching the playoffs from the comfort of their living rooms

Agreed…this does not look encouraging. Comparatively speaking, Bama looked like crap week one, but have rallied and improved week over week since. Let’s see how BK can rally this team

CBK keeps saying the OL, the QB, the RB and WRs aren't the problem but he never says what the problem is what he's doing to correct it.

If Nuss is injured, get him out of there.
If he suits up and gets out on the field, they are saying he's good to go, which, apparently, he isn't.

Try not over rushing a running QB. We do it every time we face a running QB. Think of something new. Let Perkins follow him around. Something.

Whoa, there. Solutions? I don’t think the current leadership has identified the problems at this point.

Agreed, there was no sound justification for playing Nuss against SELA after BK said he won’t be right till after the bye.
Between the rest for Nuss, making Ole Miss waste a period or two in prep on it, and the possibility of finding something you want to use out of MVB, it just doesn’t make any sense.

While I don't have confidence the coaches will fix anything, I think there are a ton of things we could do to improve the offense.
We HAVE to use tempo more often. I almost feel like every time we get a big play we should run to the line and run the ball. Currently it's like we take forever to set up and milk the clock only to then run a super simple run play and get stuffed. Run the same play just go faster and it's more successful.
Stop wasting plays on the deep fades on the sidelines. They clearly aren't working right now.
Run Harlem Berry a lot. He's so clearly the most explosive back right now.
When you have a third and short, come out the huddle quickly and just run the damn ball. Stop taking forever to check and do all the bullshite. It hurts us more than it helps.
When you get in the redzone do something other than just throwing it to TreyDez Green no matter what. He's an awesome player but it's literally the most unimaginative predictable thing ever and it doesn't really work.
I could go on and on but basically just stop doing the same dumb shite that doesn't work over and over again. And when something does work, do it over and over again.

Maybe don't overpursue?
Stay in your lanes?
Secure the edge?

A mobile QB can help with a bad oline.

It's a coaches job to protect his players.
