Out of all the things we saw yesterday, this was the most damning.

They had 5 lineman and a back. 6 blockers taking on 3 rushers and still got sacked.

It’s atrocious!

OL coach is the worst coach in LSU history beating the drop linebacker concept of the late 90s.

2nd most.

The 2pt conversion, for someone paid millions to call plays, puts incompetence out there for everyone to see clearly as day.

And what would cbk response to this be?

I no longer believe he will demand Davis and Sloan fix this ASAP

But what helps that 3 man rush is knowing a QB is not going to run and all you have to do is touch him and he will fall down.

Hanny and Dickson had no qualms about calling out Brad Davis on the post-game radio show last night. Dickson basically said that the line is soft, mentally and physically, and poorly coached. I don't see how Davis survives as OL coach after this season. His unit is at the heart of the offensive problems.

I know the board is highly against Nuss right now, but there isn’t a qb in the history of football that could consistently make plays with an OL that can’t block a 3 man front

Brad Davis should have been fired last season. That me correct that ..Brad Davis should have never been hired . The fact that he and Sloan still have jobs after yesterday is ridiculous!

This is why we needed to play VB

Ole Miss did that because they knew the o line was that bad and that Nuss will not run.

On a few of those plays Nuss could have run for 15 or more yards.

The fact that he didn’t is EXACTLY why Ole Miss used that defensive scheme

VB would have forced them to do something different

Don’t get me wrong because our OL is horrific, but it doesn’t help that Nuss has the pocket presence of a squirrel on meth.

What is he supposed to do when at least every other snap he has someone in his face in under 1 sec? Because that’s what happened

Your offensive strategy as a whole is completely gutted if you are whiffing blocks all day

Certainly can’t run the damn ball to establish some balance. And you aren’t gonna win a lot of games with any qb having to constantly scramble like it’s backyard football.

Exactly. Dropping 8 guys to cover 4 receivers, basically everyone is double covered, and because Nuss won't run they can play man or zone or a combination. The only thing open is underneath stuff and if you don't get 4+ yards on first down then it makes second and third down that much harder. Plus, Nuss does not have the same zip on the ball he did last year. So it doesn't matter if they only rush 3, eventually they will get to him. We ran the ball 9 times for 57 yards. That's over 6 yards per carry, and yes many were jet sweeps, etc, but that's part of it.

Sam Pittman is going to be available at the end of this season. Makes sense to go after him to coach our OL...........................................
