Remember the elite throws from Nuss vs UGA in the 2022 SECCG?

I remember. I know, it was garbage time but 2022 UGA’s backup defense was 10x better than yesterday’s OM defense. His throws this season look nothing like this (apologies but it appears that you can only embed one video per post). It’s inexplicable how he can display elite NFL caliber arm talent in 2022 yet in 2025 he looks like a rattled true freshman.

Something went wrong with him.

He had it at one point.

Now every ball is underthrown or lobbed up there. If he’s truly hurt, then put someone else in for F’s sake.

And if you’ve trained him to be a game manager instead of a gunslinger then you’ve removed his “it” factor that made him a fearless thrower and coaching deserves to be fired for that.

It’s like they’ve made him scared to throw the ball out there, yet they refuse to have a run game to compliment him

22 Nuss would have put the deep shot to Hilton in the middle of the end zone to run under. Somethings off.

This is why my fantasy draft devalues players who signed a contract in the offseason….

I hope he’s just banged up and can get right in the next 2 weeks.

He got coached more by Sloan and also doesn’t have a playcaller now that can breathe without reminding himself to do so.

C’mon man. JD5 in 2022 often displayed timidity to let it rip. But he was elite at making plays with his legs so that was a wash. Some of you are ate up with it.

Been saying since the Tech game that his throws have lost all of the velocity that made him effective. Looking at that highlight he’s also put on some weight.

He was trim in 2022

Definite regression. Maybe when we get to 8-4 we can see MVB

Those are the type of throws I was expecting to see from him this year. I think his injury has been downplayed and is affecting him much more than we were led to believe.

None of it matters. If he won't run, even a little bit, he won't succeed. Its just that simple. We were 5 Nuss keep it and run scrambles from the play offs last year. It's even worse this year. Trying to run this offense with a quarterback that is terrified of contact just won't ever work.

Remember yesterday when Nuss nearly threw 4 ints and couldn’t hit the side of a barn 15+ yards down field?

His decision making, weak arm, timidness, and affinity for the check down will continue to cost us games. He doesn’t look like he put in the work this offseason. I’m not sure we can buy into the “injury” statement from BK.

The team should have a meeting and vote on him sharing some playing time with MVB.

Nuss even hit 2 of these throws against Oklahoma to Hilton last year from around 45ish yards

It’s clear he’s not the same this year
