Boxwoods turning brown

I have 40 boxwoods newly planted a few months. Seems like they are all turning brown and dying. They are watered regularly.
Not sure if it’s blight on them or soil. Do I leave them in and hope for improvement or only option is replacing them and pray that they don’t start doing the same again.
Wintergreen from Cleggs in BR. What are my options for them to get healthy? Tia

Cut the branches off that are brown at the base. You may have a soil issue if they all are turning brown. If it's a mix of healthy looking plants and dying plants, your best bet is to pull the dying ones....if it's blight, it will spread. I've had good luck with the New-Gen blight resistant boxwoods.

I have two rows of them lining my walkway. I have brown patches in various ones almost year around.... Cut out the brown pieces and that plant will recover. In my case it's a revolving door, guess my soil isn't good enough or whatever...
Maybe someone here can recommend a fix for me/you.

Sounds like you are aware of boxwood blight issues. I seriously doubt it’s a soil issue as the plants have been in the ground only a few months - soil issues likely wouldn’t be manifested that quickly.
You say you water regularly. You sure your aren’t overwatering? Root rot of shrubs from over watering is not uncommon in heavy clay soil if the shrubs are not elevated slightly above soil grade and would be manifested over a few months.
Why don’t you send some photos to Dr. Raj Singh, head of the Plant Diagnostics Lab with the LSU AgCenter and get his opinion. LINK. He has fact sheets on boxwood diseases.

I was just coming here to start the same thread. Here’s mine. Just moved into this house and haven’t dealt with these before. Any help is appreciated.

I ripped all mine out after dealing with blight for years. Best decision I ever made

box is a non native crap plant. I realize they are popular for hedges but they are susceptible to so many pests and diseases because they are not native to the North American continent

Be aware that the trimmer you use to shape them can spread the blight. Clean the blades if you trim boxwoods that have blight. This is anecdotal, but I swear I spread around the blight to other boxwoods in the row after I trim them. The blight will show up in various spots a week or so after.

Rip your boxwoods out. Plant distyllium in its place. It’s indestructible and easily hedged.

I see this happening all around town. It's not just the people in this thread dealing with this. I cut all the brown out and water them good. This only starting happening this year when we had a mini drought

Boxwoods suck. And I have a bunch. I'm always trimming off the brown patches. They fix themselves, but it's a hassle.

So... Volutella Blight. Probably right, though... it's more likely to be Volutella.
