I have my 10 year coming up. I just have 0 desire to go. I just don’t get it. I made better friends in college and in professional life than I ever did in high school.

I have a very close group of friends from high school, some before that, and we hang out all the time. Theres about six of us, plus wives/gfs/children and we have pool parties and cookouts regularly.

I never felt the need to go to the reunions and see people I havent spoken to in 20 years.

Ditto. My closest friendships developed in college not high school.

My wife wants to go to hers that’s coming up. Totally fine with it, I just don’t understand it. We also had very different high school experiences.

10 year got canceled due to lack to interest but 20 is coming up next year. More than likely will go to that one just to see some folks I was friends with in high school.

I also don’t live anywhere near where I grew up. So I guess that makes sense.

Nah. My 20 year was a couple years ago.

Based on the pictures i saw it was mainly the student council, cheerleader, and select jock types aka those still living in high school.

If you do go to one the 10 year is probably the one. That one from what i saw was pretty well attended. The 20 year was a lot less people and more that core group I described.

I go. Why not? Went off to college and moved away. Life is too short to think you are too cool.

I hated high school. I’ve been much happier as an adult. I liked college much better.

Never said I was too cool, just saying that I don’t understand the appeal.

Interesting topic.

I went to my 20th - lived 700 miles away - saw some folks I had not seen in 20 years - had a good time.

I went to my 30th - had relocated back to the area - no travel - reasonably decent evening - really low key.

for my 40th, I had again relocated ~800 miles away - traveled back to the area but rented a house and had my sons and their SOs and invited a few good old friends over and we had such a good time, we didn't attend the formal reunion.

Consciously decided not to attend the 50th.

If I'm still able to attend 60th, I will probably attend just to see who else made it and how they're doing.
