This is long (the Voddie part actually just 53 mins) but incredible. Voddie was another true culture warrior. Three pillars lost recently.
Eta: I removed the video because for some reason they took out Voddie part (first half) and it’s only an Asian man preaching. Not that there’s anything wrong with that. It just isn’t Voddie.

I'm weeping as I read this news ....Voddie was my go to preacher for the unvarnished truth of the Bible and of the gospel.

It was terrible when John MacArthur passed but we still had Pastor Voddie......he too is now in the presence of our Lord.

RIP my brother in Christ.

I hear you Brother.
Very tough.

That speech is amazing. One of his best.

Some powerful things in the air right now.

I watched that vid a day or two ago, the gut punches are getting nearly unbearable. It's been said in troubled times the Lord sometimes takes His faithful servants from the coming storm.

Everyone should watch some of his Sermons on YouTube....it would be time well spent.

Except Religion News Service which had a pathetic attacking first line in announcing his death....

quote:

(RNS) — Voddie Baucham Jr., a conservative Black pastor, author and seminary leader known for advocating for restricting women’s roles in the church and critiquing what he saw as “woke” influence on Christianity, has died at 56.

This is terribly sad to hear. Voddie seemed to be a wonderful man.

A true journalist reports the news.
A paid shill and propagandist only report the narrative.

He was a great speaker. Started out as a Rice football player and that's where he was exposed to the gospel (of all wildly unlikely places). He started on a Calvinist drift in the latter half of his career.

There's a Youtube vid of many black pastors slamming Charlie Kirk's memorial service claiming he was a racist.

He was one of the few famous pastors who I believed to be a true man of God, he will be missed.

I saw that news earlier and couldn't believe it. I had a couple of theological disagreements, but I respected him a lot, and he certainly was a force for a lot of important issues.

What a tough time this has been.

It's Jesus' blood-bought church and that's the way He orders it. If you disagree, go and die and rise from the dead and build your on church.

Voddie ran a faithful race until his death. May his reward be great.

Voddie was the real deal. No doubt. I’m about done with September 2025.

Voddie was an absolute warrior for the Christian faith. He never compromised on Biblical principles, which is to be lauded in today’s era.

RIP to a great man, I’ll meet you one day brother in the presence of our Lord.

I didn’t realize he was only 56. Apparently had heart problems.

MacArthur
Dobson
Kirk
Baucham

We’ve lost some bold men in the faith this year.

Desperately need men to stand up.

One of my favorite Voddie sermons:

quote:

I choose to believe the Bible because it is a reliable collection of historical documents written by eyewitnesses during the lifetime of other eyewitnesses. They report supernatural events that took place in fulfillment of specific prophecies and they claim that their writings are divine rather than human in origin.

Bittersweet news. He was a great pastor and man of God. He is home with the Lord now. Praise God for that good and faithful servant!
