Don’t get me wrong their offense is very good kiffin will always have an offense full of playmakers. Having said that. The defenses they faced have been incredibly bad. They faced defenses that were terrified to challenge their wideouts at the LOS.

Tulane in particular sat in soft zone or off coverage 90 percent of the game they simply didn’t have the athletes in the backend to cover ole Miss. only team that really went man against them was Arkansas but their backend is awful their slow at corner and safety.

We will be the first defense that has the Athletes to play bump n run against them. This will be the first game chambliss will have to drive the ball into tight windows consistently. Pair that with our athletic front 4 and fast LB’s this defense will be night and day from any defense ole miss has seen. The media narrative has been that LSU hasn’t faced a good offense yet …. The same applies to ole Miss in terms of them having playing a good defense yet .

The closer the game comes, the more I think we will kick their arse.

I said 38-17 all week and I’m sticking with it.

We have way too much depth and talent and coaching on defense. We have too much talent on O not to score in the 30s.

Wholeheartedly agree. On paper we simply have a much more talented team than ole Miss. Deeper at almost every position. The offense is finally has some momentum with Nuss close to 100 percent ppl can say our last opponent was soft but every throw he made was on the money and were drops away from having a perfect game. We have the personal offensively to exploit their corners and safeties. If we can add a consistent run game we will score in bunches

If the LSU offense can be just slightly consistent I don't think they hang with us. I know Lane is gonna have a quirky play or 2 but that's not gonna throw our defense off like years past. I thought 2-3 score game in favor of LSU the whole week.

I'd be more shocked that we scored 38 than if we held them to 17.

I think Chambliss is going to have the same issues as DJ Lagway had. A young relatively inexperienced QB is going up against a defense that disguises their coverages extremely well. I expect at least a couple interceptions.

Agree but the difference is Chambliss can really move. Lagway just doesn’t have that ability and that’s why we killed him all night. This will definitely be a bigger test but the defense is not what I’m worried about. They’ll give us a chance to win… it’s the offense.

This guy hasn’t heard of the word “improvement”. It’s 7am and you’re already this pessimistic. How does one achieve such a thing?

I agree with the talent on O comment, however that talent hasn’t translated to on-field success this year.

This game will depend on what offense shows up? Is it the product that we saw in the first 3 games? Or will we get glimpses of last years offense?

I can agree with the match ups 100% but let's hope Chambliss doesnt see the streaking recievers running downfield uncovered/blown coverage where either the qb missed him on the throw or didnt see him like Clemson and Florida did. It happened 3/4 times each game.

The focus should be "dont blow a dam coverage". I was at both games and Clemson/Florida wr's were running down field uncovered, the QB's on each team never saw them along with Clemson dropping a pass where 11 was burnt for a td that would have been a sure touchdown and Florida had a TD called back for holding.

Too many here over looking a good Reb's team.

I don't know why. The only thing holding this team back was Nuss injury. Now that they have turned him loose just watch how this offense takes off. Yeah I know we still can't run the ball. But give me Nuss our Wr's against a defense that has Sage Ryan.

Is this the same media that said Clemson was National Champion Contender before LSU won?

That happens a lot with many defenses as they move the QB around, disrupt the called play and make it very difficult for the QB to make a throw to an open WR.

With an average sec offensive line, yes LSU probably wins by 14+. Unless the line shows drastic improvements, or the passing game is lights out, this will be a close one. I still have lsu by 3-6.

I think we have great potential on offense with Nuss and the speed we have at WR, but our WRs have been very lackluster even when the ball has hit them in the hands recently with all the drops. And as you mentioned, our running game has been bad.
So I would be surprised if we scored 38 on the road given what we have seen through 4 games. Ole Miss doesn't have a great D, but I'm sure they'll be fired up at home against LSU.

With that said, I am waiting for us to have an explosive offensive game against a decent team, so maybe this will be the game with Nuss getting better that we could have a 38 point output. I feel like 30 points would be a more reasonable output given our red zone scoring efficiency, but we're also getting Green back at TE, so maybe he will help us explode.
