My wife uses apple/i-phone, and I've been android forever. Does anyone have a recommendation on a location sharing app to interface between our phones?

Just use Waze to share your ETA.

Is one of you prone to narcolepsy and may fall asleep in a random location, so you need to share location info? Every overly anxious woman on the planet knows about Life360, I'm surprised she hasn't already put a Tile tracker on your car to make sure you leave the grocery store precisely when you said you would.

Uhh none of that marital stuff. The Waze app works ok for driving ETA, but it's clunky for actual tracking. I find the "follow my drive" links that waze uses are often DOA.

You can't have missed the point that I was making fun of "needing" each other's locations.

It wasn't missed. I've been married for decades without "tracking". The case for us is clear though, driving at late hours without being distracted by phones.

Husbands and wives should not track each other.

If I want to stop for beers after work i’ll stop for beers.

If she wants to play mahjong til midnight, more power to her. I trust her implicitly.

Yea well sometimes I just want to relax and put off everything she asked me to do until 5 minutes before she gets home. How else am I supposed to do that you know?

You can share your locations in Google Maps.

There's more use cases than just being paranoid that your spouse is cheating.

If my wife is driving to/from work in bad weather I might just want to check that she got to work OK. Yesterday I remembered something I needed from the grocery, so I checked to see if her location still showed at the store or if she already left . Obviously I could call/text for these answers, but I've found this to be handy and faster than waiting for her to respond. And won't tempt her to text and drive.

So many stupid recs in here (like HA ) when this is far and away the best answer.

My wife is an iPhone user and I'm on lamedroid, and this is what we use to track each other

None of those are related to tracking each other

Hey it’s on by default if you already have it and works well enough. Wasn’t supposed to be super serious.

I would be less comfortable with Google having always-on location than Apple, but thats the world we live in so I’d still do it.

Do your vehicles have apps? My wife's BMW and my GMC both have decent apps where you can see the location of the vehicle 24/7/365.
