He has also pledged to build 200,000 affordable housing units and increasing taxes on the wealthiest New Yorkers and biggest corporations.
Bessent, who founded a global hedge fund in New York, has vowed that if the Big Apple finds itself in a budgetary bind because of these policies, then the government will refuse to help.
“I guarantee you—and there are not a lot of things in life that are sure—that New York City will be coming to the federal government for a bailout if the Mandami plans are implemented,” Bessent told Fox Business. Asked if that bailout would be provided, he referred to a legendary New York Daily News headline from the 1970s: “It will be the same thing that Gerald Ford said: Drop dead.”

I don't see Louisiana wasting money on pie-in-the-sky projects like New York and California. They blow their own money because they know the Federal Government will bail them out. However, back to your question, the answer would be "yes" in certain circumstances.

If we were stupid enough to vote for an open communist....YES.
Communist policies are GUARANTEED, by decades of history, to ALWAYS result in failure. ALWAYS. No one, on either side, debates this. So, when a communists states his plans to implement communism and you are already admitting that these plans will result in catastrophic loss in that city, why would we bail them out?
This is why you libs suck at business. You don't keep bailing out and funding failures. You don't even realize you ar pre-empting the failure that is Momdani by making a "what if" scenario to garner sympathy. He's not even elected yet and you are tacitly admitting his failures. Think about that.
