Kiffin commenting on tv schedule

Kiffin was asked about our game being a day game vs a night game this weekend. He said he accepts the fact that the game with LSU will be in day in Oxford and night in Baton Rouge. I get his point for sure but think the bigger issue is the fact that Bama UGA is the same weekend. We played them at night in Oxford in 2023. Does the rant think that the upcoming ole miss game would be at night if it was played in Tiger Stadium? I say it would not because the UGA Bama game would still be the night slot.

I mean LSU / Ole Miss is a higher ranked matchup than Bama / Georgia
It should be Gameday and it should be at night.
It should be Gameday and it should be at night.

He is right but it’s because of Ole Miss. Ole Miss isn’t a national brand.
That’s just the way it is. They can tell themselves whatever they want

Gameday is rightfully going to Penn State. And the networks are about ratings. UGA Bama draws more than LSU ole miss

Exactly they aren’t a national brand. And that’s why I think that if the game was in Br this weekend it wouldn’t be a night game imo. That’s my point

2022 was a day game in BR, 2023 was in Oxford at night

Alabama vs uga will draw more viewers than lsu vs ole miss. Ole miss just isn’t sexy enough

Don’t understand why so much time is wasted on ‘what if’s’.

Because I’m hearing people say that Kiffin is correct and the game would be at night if it were at LSU. I don’t agree with them

That’s right Bama-Geo will bring in a much bigger audiance.

Exactly. Since Lane has been at Ole Miss:
2020 - Baton Rouge, 2:30 PM
2021 - Oxford, 2:30 PM
2022 - Baton Rouge, 2:30 PM
2023 - Oxford, 5:00 PM
2024 - Baton Rouge, 6:30 PM
He’s full of shite with this victim nonsense.

Kiffin was bitching about last year being a night game in Baton Rouge.
Kiffin just wants to bitch.

The 2:30 slot gets first pick. It’s their best game that gets that slot. It’s the old cbs slot. I don’t like playing afternoon but we are bitching(both sides) about LSU and ole miss being a better matchup than Georgia / Alabama.

It should be Halloween night. Or as close as possible.

Vaughn Hemingway Stadium isn’t a hot commodity like Tigah Stadium at night is, not even in the same stratosphere. Sorry baw.

LSU only played 1 day game in the years I was at LSU. That was in 1980 back when the NCAA only allowed ONE live broadcast per week. LSU’s opponent? Ole Miss.

Why does anyone care? Pretty petty shite.
