My family has been deeply scarred by this injustice not once, but twice.

Highly qualified Louisiana students are being unjustly denied opportunities solely because of their race—a clear betrayal of fairness and merit.

Did you know LSU has adopted a “test-optional” policy? Why are we lowering the bar when we should be championing excellence and welcoming only the best and brightest to our universities?

Louisiana’s higher education system demands immediate reform. DEI policies, in name and practice, must be eradicated now to restore a merit-based system that truly serves our students and state.

Were you against DEI/Affirmative Action before you and yours were damaged? If not, you caused this.

Lots of states are doing this but there is a GPA requirement.

If you saw the picture a while back of the new freshman class at LSU it would validate your opinion.

Of which means less and easier to manipulate.

Recently a friend was surprised when his A and B daughter went to high school and they found out she could barely read.

GPA was really good though

This isn’t a state-wide thing.

Yes, many schools across the nation opted to go to testing optional during/after COVID, but many of those schools have went back to mandatory test scores. The quality of students went down when testing was optional. For instance, Louisiana Tech requires ACT/SAT scores again. There’s no good reason for LSU to be test optional.

GPAs aren’t even close to fairly distributed.

OP is absolutely lying if the premise is that his kid can't get into a college in Louisiana.

Unless the kids are profoundly stupid and lazy.

Which will further drive productive LA citizens to leave the state to have their tax dollars better align with their life values.

LSU is on borrowed time with brain drain and population loss compared to its southern peer institutions.

DOesn;t this run afoul of the recent Scotus rulings against Harvard on DEI admission policies?

Medical schools are blatantly telling everyone that they are enrolling a very small amount of white people

OP is not lying. Recent HS grad in my family from a La. HS. 4.3 avg. 34 act.

Alabama full ride.
Ark full ride.

LSU. Admitted. Tops only. Minority students receive a full ride to LSU with a well under 30 act. LSU doesn’t want our best and brightest unless you fit a certain demographic.

Because the Leftist/Bolshevik cultural change agents are in control of this country now and have been for decades. Their goal is a society of individuals who are all equally beholden to Daddy government and all equally miserable. A Communist society does not reward individuals based on merit. It rewards based on who is favored by the bureaucrats.

He/she didnt list the premise, your soy brain filled it in.

You bitches refuse to admit that universities have been favoring less qualified minority students.

Do you know why? Because you got yours, and now dont give a shite that the ladder has been lifted.

From the Hayride article:

“In Louisiana, most higher education administrators, board members, and professors are registered Democrats or donors to left-leaning political campaigns. In fact, at the top of the Louisiana higher education chain of command is a registered Democrat who worked in the Obama administration “leading post-secondary diversity and inclusion work”–Kim Hunter Reed.

Soon after Reed’s appointment as Commissioner of Louisiana Higher Education in 2018, the Board of Regents and nearly all state universities adopted a policy objective in the Higher Education Executive Budget that openly prioritizes non-White and non-Asian students. This discriminatory objective first appeared in the FY21-22 budget (pg. 16) and has been listed every year since, including the FY25-26 budget (pg. 12).”

Wow! This is very troubling!!

A high school GPA tells you less than nothing given the state of schools in this country and the BS with grades that goes on.

Hell, even the ACT is being dumbed down, with them making the science section optional (which high schools most definitely will do, as their school ratings are partially based on ACT scores and science is one of the toughest sections).
