When you’re coming from out of state, you don’t get TOPS.

Those numbers are skyrocketing
I have a child who was denied admission into LSU although he/she met all requirements including the ACT score.

My other child, who graduated college and applied for numerous Master’s degree programs in the Dept of Music was also denied acceptance to any of those that he applied for. The professor of the main department he was applying for is LGBTQIA/DEI. We were not given any specific reason for denial so we have to assume he was too white, too straight and too male.
My family has been deeply scarred by this injustice not once, but twice.

Highly qualified Louisiana students are being unjustly denied opportunities solely because of their race—a clear betrayal of fairness and merit.

Did you know LSU has adopted a “test-optional” policy? Why are we lowering the bar when we should be championing excellence and welcoming only the best and brightest to our universities?

Louisiana’s higher education system demands immediate reform. DEI policies, in name and practice, must be eradicated now to restore a merit-based system that truly serves our students and state.

I beg to differ. My daughter, who met all requirements, wasn’t accepted. I found it unacceptable and fought the admissions and emailed the board. She will be attending in the fall.
