More steel in the US is used to make bottle caps than automobile frames.

Is that an old fact? I just can’t see how bottle caps are even needed now as everything is either plastic or in a can

If true, either fatties are taking over, drinking a shite-ton of soda; or the US is making unibody (frameless) cars now, or not making as many; or truck production (using frames) has gone to Mexico or a combination of the above.
