During the 2000s 2 towns stuck out to me that we're like that when i was traveling. Lake Providence looked like it was from the 60s and New Iberia looked like it was stuck in in the 70s.

He's on Highway 150. There is a new bridge, and a service station there! But, that's about it.

Most states in this country have small towns that look like that. Many had a financial setback, like "the mill closed" and a town that had 60k people now only needs 20k.

My family is from L.A. (lower Alabama) and that’s exactly what happened to the small town my grandparents grew up in. America started getting its towels, bedsheets, and other cotton items from Asia.
