Pick 1 player from LSU's past on offense & defense that could help this year's team

On defense, I would pick Patrick Peterson and a close second would be Devin White. Peterson could shut down the opposing team's best WR and allow the other DBs, who are talented but haven't played together very long, time to gel as a unit. White was just nasty and had a presence about him that teams wanted no part of.
Offensively, I have to go with Andrew Whitworth, who turned out to be an outstanding NFL tackle and just had a nastiness about him. He could really help this young OL and could teach them how to come off the ball and open up some holes. I almost picked Kevin Faulk because had a special talent of making defenders miss with that little wiggle move and that could really help this struggling OL.

with what seems to be a very conservative viewpoint on offense right now, give me fournette to run the ball 30 times ago

Jayden Daniels because of obvious reasons. Running and throwing would be lightyears better.
Defense is fine the way it is so far.

It feels sacrilegious not to pick Burrow, but give me Jayden Daniels scrambling and motoring around with 2025 set of WRs since no Chase and Jefferson. It’s a damn shame the defense that he was coupled with during that season. That was a sin.
And I’ll take Glenn Dorsey.

Whit and Peterson were the first two that jumped into my mind on reading the title.
Lots of other good options I am sure will be mentioned

Just give me another year with Emory Jones at RT. You can keep the defensive pick. There are no areas of weakness to improve.

I think both of those would be great additions, and I also obviously don't think our defense really needs much help. Dorsey, or either of the Spears/Hill combo would also be great. And of course a Honey Badger would always be a great benefit.

Since we can't pick 4 or 5 O-Linemen, Whitworth might well be the closest thing to that. I honestly can't think of any offense in the history of football that I wouldn't think he would be a welcome addition. Faulk would also be a great choice, but I think Ally Broussard or Steven Ridley's ability to run without clean running lanes could be really handy as well.
However, either of our recent Heisman-winning QBs would be the obvious real answer. Which is clearly no knock at all on Nuss, just recognizing that generational talents like those (which we were somehow blessed with twice in less than half a decade) are a ridiculous upgrade over even a great QB.
