I keep hearing people congratulating Police & FBI for "capturing" the killer.

The killer was caught on the schools cameras and his father recognized him and turned him in.
All they did was Book him when he turned himself in.
Wow, great work !!
The mental gymnastics that people do to praise Law Enforcement never ceases to amaze me.

If the FBI prevented the shooting due to intelligence gathering, that would have been impressive.
Had a local cop spotted the guy on the roof and prevented the shooting, that would have been impressive.
But neither of those things happened.
They simply Booked him when he turned himself in, amazing !!!

speaking of mental gymnastics, the effort required to derive your conclusion is pretty impressive.

I think we can fairly grade the FBI and local police's efforts as "Meets Expectations." They undoubtedly collected and reviewed hundreds of hours of video footage from surveillance cameras, home doorbell cameras, cell phone videos, etc., identified the shooter entering and leaving the area, and got his picture released to the public so people can come forward with information.

What more did you want them to do? There were people at the time asking for them to run DNA and ballistics on the gun. They obviously were in the process of doing that, but this isn't CSI. You don't swab the gun, plug it into a computer and the computer spits out a name.

The FBI and the agencies they worked with tracked the guys route to the venue, onto and off of the roof, his route away from campus, then his vehicle as it drove back south to his hometown. They collected, if I remember correctly, over 11,000 tips in the course of two days and published the credible ones to get public help. And your vagina is aching because they didn't do a big action movie capture and perp walk

Who investigated, reviewed and shared the footage to make that all possible?

Do you not think that he was going to get caught if he didn’t turn himself in? They had him tracked to his vehicle, which they identified, he was going to be caught in a manner of maybe another day or two if he didn’t turn himself in.

What more would you want them to do in this situation?

Wrong.

There were home videos on X 5 minutes after the shooting of the guy on the roof, so they knew what building.
They simply reviewed the video from that building and said "golly, I bet the shooter is the guy crawling off the roof, let's release his photo and see if anyone recognizes him".
His father recognized him and turned him in.

Boy, that's some exhaustive genius level IQ police work right there

Kash Patel forced them to show the assassin's picture even when his subordinates were against doing it at the time. When his picture was released, the assassin's own father recognized him and turned him in. So yes, the FBI played a role.

You don’t think they collected and reviewed those videos? Where do you think the still images came from?

Again, I don’t think many are claiming that it was particularly difficult to figure out who this guy was. The FBI did exactly what they were expected to do. What more did you want them to do that they didn’t do?

Why do you hate the police so much?

What crime were you wrongfully convicted of?

I said that they did.
But there wasn't thousands of hours of video to review as a prior poster stated.
They simply pulled a few minutes of footage from that 1 building.
The guy shot and then bolted, there wasn't much video to review.
Obviously the shooter was the guy crawling off of the roof.
It didn't take a genius to figure that out.
