They put Pyburn in as a full back and he had a crucial block that sprung the run. I want to see more of that. Also of note, they had Weston Davis and Tyree Adams on the same side of the line which Durham ran behind.

That’s interesting. Thanks for pointing that out.

I mean, Florida was selling out on that run play as they had to get the ball back. All that run did was pad stats

It was baffeling how we did some very simple things that worked and then went back to ignoring them.

Inside slants. They fricking work with our athletes. We did it a couple times and it worked beautifully - then stopped.

We did a nice pitch to JJ for like 9 yards - then didn't do it again.

And more importantly, it iced the game!

Our seats are close to the field in the south endzone and on the first drive I commented to my buddy how absolutely huge these guys look compared to everyone else.

They are absolutely massive and stand out as the biggest guys on the field.

Bk saying did you see the last running play? Like really half your yards came on one play so take that out you averaged 2.4 a carry.
YES BK we saw your LACK of a Running game again for a 3rd year. JD5 was the whole running game his last year and so we have gone 3years of no running game besides a Qb who was faster than everybody else.
So for a guy who’s bread and butter was OL/TE development the OL hasn’t been able to run block in 3years? Is that a coaching problem? BK can we get an answer?

Y’all really bent out of shape on Kelly… he is right, we are 3-0 and you all act like we are 0-3.

Yeah, no shite.. that’s the beauty of having a dual threat QB. It masks a lot of problems that your OL may have.. Nuss taking off and running the ball at times really helped the offensive flow, too bad most were called back on holds.

All we need to score is 20 points and control the TOP and we will win 10 or 11 games. It shouldn't be that hard.

O-line struggles against the run maybe because it’s a new group and are still working it out. Nuss isn’t up to his standards. But man, play calling is an issue. You are 100% correct on the slants. They couldn’t stop it. We went back to those sitting out routes and the DBs were just sitting on them. And the 1 Target roll out play needs to go. Don’t think we have run a screen pass since Clemson.

The big frustration is the absolute refusal to do anything about Sloan who absolutely sucks. We all see it

I loved the play (I’d mentioned using Sharp as a fullback/ backfield lead blocker a few times recently and that’s where he was on the play).

My thing was, why wait so long to use that play? There were some short yardage plays earlier where that formation could’ve come in handy.

Hopefully it becomes a staple of the offense.

The O line kept Nuss upright the whole game. Kudos to them. Running game is a work in progress. O line does not seem to be able to get the push to open up holes for the backs. Could this be a schematic flaw? Same scenario last season. Four players from that O line now playing in the NFL.
I admittedly can not understand what is missing.

I see why he was brought back.. you didn’t want Nuss coming back into a different scheme. They still have time to figure it out, hopefully they get there. I doubt Sloan will be here after the season once Nuss is gone.

We really miss Josh at RB. The kid was a true football player.

And I like putting Pyburn in there to bust holes or hold the edge. Seems to have worked well.
