Five First Quarter Touchdown Passes for Cincinnati sounds like some Video Game on Easy Shenanigans.

Doesn't help that upswing John Melvin University has been poaching away some recruits as well.

Player getting killed a few years ago with all the sketchy stuff surrounding it was a de facto death penalty for a program already on life support.

if this is the best they can do, they need to just officially kill the program.... they used to be a factor in FCS, but man... they are fricking pitiful

They don’t need to compete with SEC. LOLOLOLO

They just need to field a competent program, which ended after they gave themselves the death penalty.

quote:

Caldwell’s family said in a statement that the player had to move apartments after his had mold in it, and that his new roommate in the same building, John McIntosh, pulled a gun on him on Oct. 9. “Ronnie’s father immediately sent a text to Northwestern State Head Football Coach Brad Laird alerting him that he needed help and that Ronnie’s roommate had pulled a gun on him,” the statement said. “Coach Laird replied with a phone call assuring the family that he would take immediate action and move Ronnie to a safe location. Nothing was done, the family heard no updates from the University.

quote:

“The next call the family received was from Coach Brad Laird telling us that Ronnie had been murdered.”

quote:

Maurice Campbell, a teammate of Caldwell’s, was arrested in connection with the investigation of the death and charged on Oct. 20 with obstruction of justice, possession of a firearm in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.

Coach resigned immediately and they cancelled the season. I can’t remember the rumors fully but allegedly some players may have been involved with sketchy people and the coaching staff turned a blind eye.

Someone hung 87 on them last season. They may need to actually pull the plug on the program or drop to d3.

Hiring Peveto killed the program. They haven’t had a winning season since the season before he was hired.
