I have 3 kids between college and high school age. I never really followed Kirk but was familiar with them. Didn't think much about talking to them about it. All 3 told me separately about it and that they had been watching his videos for years. We are a very conservative family that is very open about talking politics, but yesterday was the first day that I realized that he was not only an influence in them, but someone they looked up to.

frick the left!

Had a couple of friends text me yesterday that they didn't know much about Charlie, but their teens were upset.

I honestly didn’t know him by name but I have watched many reels made from his debates.

I had no idea my teenage son watched him until yesterday. We very close and he is well aware that I am 100% MAGA.

Kind of alarming. Glad he choose someone that shares our values.

Rush Limbaugh was more an entertainer, but they certainly had similar messages. So maybe that might put it into context.

I mean, I also listened to Charlie, but yeah, I'm well above his target audience. He was definitely younger, and aiming his words to educate and introduce the youth.

They believe that your children belong to them and their perverted ideologies. Charlie threatened that by speaking truth, for which he was murdered.

my 14 year old son messaged me yesterday about it. I'm traveling for work, so I wasn't aware. he's so distraught. his first comment was, "liberals are ruining this country."

My company is currently staffing up a bunch of entry level jobs as we acquiring a large firm.

These hiring folks clearly have a type, because it looks like a D2 basketball league was just brought in to assist(we hired what looks like about 50 6’3” 23 year old white frat dudes).

Nearly every one of them was in shambles over the assassination.

its exactly why they killed him. The education system is flooded with the evil and he was fighting against that with the truth. kids were starting to get it.

It's really sad.

Same here. Two of mine were outraged with one of the catching me off guard as I’ve never known of him to talk politics or any of my 4 sons mention Kirk other than maybe in a crowd setting

So I have a question:

I was going to start my own thread, but I guess this will be a good spot for it

My 11 year old came home from school football practice yesterday and asked me about this situation. For his whole life I’ve always kept him away from politics. I never wanted him to spend any time thinking or worrying about politics - but we’re almost at that point where if I don’t teach him about what’s going on, and why, someone else will - and I want to give him the right info

I guess my question is, how the hell do I break this down for a preteen? I had no clue he knew who Charlie Kirk was. But turns out he said he’s seen a lot of his videos and he said ‘I like the way he thinks and I like the way he talks to people’

So those of yall who have teenagers and even preteens, how have yall handled these conversations??

It is never to early to teach your kids about the evils of the left and how to be vigilant to the indoctrination they will be encountering.

Not just teens, but the young 20 somethings, and quite frankly, he meant a lot to the free world with the work he was putting in.
