He’s back at it.
Cliff notes version: There are only two LAC owners. Ballmer owns 99%. A guy named Dennis Wong owns 1%. They were former roommates at Harvard. Wong is the alternate governor if Ballmer can’t make meetings. Aspiration owes KL 7M/year in 1.75M quarterly installments. While Aspiration is completely collapsing financially, they miss two scheduled payments to KL because they literally have no money. In the midst of essentially laying off 20% of the company in Dec 2022, they get a mysterious 2M “investment,” and then literally 9 days later, KL finally gets one of his 1.75M payments.
The source of that 2M investment? Dennis Wong. Who has never invested in the company until that time. Whose daughter also works for Aspiration, so hard to imagine he wouldn’t know about their financial insolvency prior to this “investment.” And 2M is such a minuscule investment anyways, unless…..

The NBA is going to conveniently not find enough proof and do jackshit.

No chance. They went way too far over the line for the NBA to ignore.
The only saving grace is the Clippers didn't win shite.

If that happens, then it’s simply a testament to the sheer power one of the ten richest humans has.

The team must be taken from Ballmer.

That’s damned good investigative journalism.

Silver is already setting the scene by saying the NBA has the burden of proof here. The NBA is fully on board with this shady shite.

Pablo has turned into Game 6 Boston LeBron ever since Bill Simmons called him a fake journalist

Honestly, a breath of fresh air in the world of hot takes and today's landscape of "who can be the fastest to tweet/publish a headline and bury an apology later, if needed"

Well no shite the accuser has the burden of proof
It’s not about the burden of proof, but about the standard of proof. This isn’t a criminal court of law. All that’s required is a lack of rational explanation otherwise (which obviously is up to interpretation), per NBA rules.

I’ve never been a PT fan during the entirety of his media career. He’s won me over with PTFO.

Who GAF? I don’t need my investigative journalists to be humble….I need them to break news

I don't want to listen to him, I had enough of that with part of one episode of that show he did with Bomani. I'll just find out secondhand what he knows.
But I appreciate the work.

As I recall, Ballmer also invested 50 million in Aspiration shortly before the deal, and the size of Aspiration's deal with Kawhi was 48 million

Which is crazy since Bill has been a bloviating buffoon with zero insights of note in the last decade plus.
