Thoughts on Florida football fans

Some of the most obnoxious and classless fans I've ever had the misfortune to encounter. Collectively, the nastiest fan base in the SEC. Jorts, mullets, cheap beer, and trashiness at its finest.

they are pretty bad but Tennessee is worse we just don’t play them nearly as often

Once, some visiting Florida fans snatched a stuffed tiger from my tailgate to clown….lets just say their evening didn’t turn out the way they planned. Not my favorite fanbase.

Nah. Professional sports have the worst fan bases. Mostly Cali teams and some east coast trash cities like Philly

There is a reason several ex LSU players across the three major sports do not like UF and their fans.
Nothing worse than a has been fanbase trying to be "it" again.

I remember a sweltering day game in Gainseville some years ago when a drunk gator fan behind us was being completely obnoxious. By the 3rd quarter he had consumed so much alcohol that he passed out. We thought that was an improvement until a yellow liquid started flowing under the seats. Even the guy's friends were apologetic.
We lost the game.
Miserable day.

Ya'll need to see and read what the Bama fan base thinks about the LSU fan base. They have LSU'S fan base ranked ten times trashier than Tennessee or Auburn. When I lived in Montgomery ten years ago the Bama site had some raunchy pictures that they took from one of the games in Baton ROUGE. The pictures were pretty bad. They finally shut up when the teabag incident happened.

West VA has the worst fans I have ever experienced live and in person. And I have been to LSU games in Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, Ole Miss, Arkansas, etc. Our 2011 visit to Morgantown was worse in terms of fan interaction that all the rest over the years.

Gainesville is the only place I’ve had a beer thrown on me. In between the 3Q and 4Q when our band played during Won’t Back Down a few years ago. 2022? I’m not even in the band! frick those fans

Right after he died, Florida fans "claimed" Petty. He was from Gainesville, but to my knowledge, was never really a passionate Florida fan.

Went to games in Gainesville in 1984 and 1988. Never again. Arrogant fan base that got worse after Spurrier was the coach there. I will say Spurrier dominated the SEC while he was coach at UF.

Trashiest fanbase in the SEC. tSwamp is a great venue objectively but their fans leave a lot to be desired.

In 20 years of tailgating they were the only fans who figured out how to be jerks while being offered free food and alcohol. Happened multiple times across all ages 20’s to 60’s. In my opinion the only true classless fan base.

We went to Florida last season and actually got along with many of them. This was right after Trump won though, so we were all in a good mood.

Always said if LSU and UF ever played in SEC title game , there would be fights everywhere. I've never encountered a bigger douchebag fanbase.
