re: Pastime Pizza sucks

Pastime Pizza is really bad. The last time I went there I went there was about a year ago. I went with a friend and she had pizza and I had a roast beef poboy. My friend's pizza was okay but I would never order one because there are places that have a better product. My poboy just had chopped beef in it. It didn't have lettuce or tomato on it. It was good but it could have been much better. When I took my first bite a memory hit me. I realized that the I once ate the exact poboy numerous times and it t wasn't at Pastime. The places that I had those poboy were at a place called Wesley. I think BR had two of them. Pastime owner owned Wesley too.
When I was an undergrad at LSU in the early seventies, the requirements to get into Ole Miss were much stricter than they were to get into LSU. During that time period it was claimed that kids who couldn't get into Ole Miss went to Miss. State. Most of us believed that crap because the Ole Miss fans usually attended the games wearing suits. It was funny watching the Ole Miss fans in their suits waving their rebel flags when the Ole Miss band played Dixie. back then, the LSU and Ole Miss game was a heated rivalry game. I still have horrible thoughts about what Archie Who did to LSU in Jackson back in '69. Living on campus, the Go To Hell Ole Miss week was a blast.

It seems like Auburn's band goes on more than one road trip each season.
As a student of a Roman Catholic education pre college, we were taught what was required to become a saint. The miracles that have to happen have to be in the name of that person. We were told this when we were in the tenth grade. A kid asked a question about that requirement and our religious teacher, who was a nun went ballistic. The kid asked why would s person pray to a regular person? The nuns had a habit of getting mad when they didn't know the answer to a question. I was in junior and senior high during the late sixties. I'm no longer a Catholic because I started to wonder about what was taught to me. I don't believe people are burning in hell for missing Mass on a Sunday because you didn't want to go. I don't believe that people are in hell for knowingly eating meat on a Friday. I don't believe in purgatory and paying the church mega bucks to have a Mass said in the name of the dead person to shorten their stay in purgatory. My mom spent mega bucks to have Masses said for my deceased older brother. I'm not knocking people who believe in the teachings of the Catholic Church but those teachings were not what I believed in as I got older. When I was a senior five of us got suspended. Our religious teacher told the class to make posters that would appeal to young people. When my group displayed our poster we were told to go to the office. We got a lecture and we were told to stay home for three days to think about what we did. To appeal to the young people our group hung Jesus on a guitar.
Ya'll need to see and read what the Bama fan base thinks about the LSU fan base. They have LSU'S fan base ranked ten times trashier than Tennessee or Auburn. When I lived in Montgomery ten years ago the Bama site had some raunchy pictures that they took from one of the games in Baton ROUGE. The pictures were pretty bad. They finally shut up when the teabag incident happened.

I was just reading about the murder of that LSU student who was abducted in the Kirby Smith parking lot. I remember reading about it after it happened, but I don't remember the details that I read about today. Those guys put that kid through hell before that s.o.b.decided to kill him. I remember when they found the kid's body near where I was living at the time. What really pisses me off was when the killer's mother and girlfriend went with the killer the next day and burned up the victim's truck. Momma and girlfriend both deserve to be harshly punished for their role in the crime. I can't believe that the killer might get parole. Somebody needs to teach this pile of crap a harsh lesson if he is allowed to get out. The article that I read was depressing as hell and what that poor kid went through was awful. How can somebody do that and still sleep at night? I pray that the killer is slowly tortured before he dies.
I think that people frown on it because when you see a grown person wearing the number or sportswear of a good athlete, it appears that the person who is wearing the replica of an excellent kid athlete, the wearer is trying to live his life through a great player. I was also told that the grown as_wearer realizes that he will never be great in sports so he is emulating the greatness of a kid. I'll never forget the large number of men wearing Shaw's jersey number.
It's possible they can lose the game. I still remember our game with Troy. Living in Alabama at the time, that's all I heard about for three years. I got them back when ULM put Bama down.
I don't remember ever owning them. In fact, most of the games that I remember with them, LSU lost.
If that is a school's tradition, then what is the problem? Most school's have some sort of tradition during game day. LSU's used to be parading MIke in his cage around the stadium before the game. Notre Dame has the guy dressed in green running around during the game. Florida State has their Indian on a horse with the flaming spear. Arkansas has their wild boar. Texas has their longhorn and my favorite, Auburn has that eagle soaring. TBH, none of those traditions seems foolish. What is foolish is that L S U doesn't have one. I don't consider a band marching down a hill outside of the stadium s tradition. Animal welfare societies killed ourt tradition. I say let the school enjoy what they consider a tradition. We seem to enjoy our band coming down the hill gearing up to play Tiger Rag. I say each to their own.
I don't get it either. Why would somebody want to be associated with a chant that is vulgar and demeaning?
I bet we get Ole Miss because of the past history between the schools. I bet Bama gets Auburn, Vandy, and Tennessee. I think that it will be a tossup between State and Vandy.
Here is a question for you Bama fans. Why do you do permanent damage to people and property after you win? The teabag incident ruined that LSU's kid's life. He had to withdraw from school and he moved far away. Thank GOD that the trees at Auburn weren't totally destroyed. I just.moved back home after living in Montgomery for ten years and I would love to know where your destructive fans come from because the Bama fans I know in Montgomery would never think of doing that crap
Tech was like Tulane before they joined the ACC. Tech wanted to come back to the SEC but The Bear really screwed them up. The Bear is the reason Tech left the conference and the reason why they are no longer in the SEC. He lied to them. Did you know that Tech had a fierce rivalry with Bama that outshines the rivalry that Bama has with Auburn today. Tech was establishing a rivalry with Auburn too. During the week of the Tech game, Auburn used to have a wreck Tech parade in the streets of downtown Auburn.
That was a good game. I was in my first year at LSU and they had a lot students watching the game on TV in the Union. Wasn't the president of the U.S. at that game?
When I attended LSU and lived on campus, Ole Miss was our big time rival. We had Ole Miss week where they would set garbage cans on fire and the guys would go to the other side of the campus to the girl's dorm where the girls would throw some panties out of the windows of their dorms. I knew one guy who caught a pair and when he went back to his dorm to look at what he caught, one pair of panties had sh-t stains all over them. Other guys caught panties where you could tell the girls had pissed in them. Police would be around the Union to grab any guy who they saw return from the panty raid. If they caught you, you would be put in a paddy wagon and be brought to jail. You were never booked but they taught you a lesson by keeping you in there during the LSU OLE MISS game.
If A&M can do it, they will avoid Texas in any way possible. Texas is the reason why they left the Big X11. A&M joined the SEC to steer clear of Texas. Quite a few newspapers in Texas have articles about A&M never wanting to play Texas ever again. The Aggies had a breakdown when the SEC openly stated that OU and Texas would be admitted. If you read the articles Texas makes Bama look like a saint. One article in the Waco paper said that the SEC better put their seatbelts on because Texas will definitely challenge Bama for being the superior school in the SEC. The article ended by saying, Texas, the destroyer of conferences. Loo
Kids don't think. Many kids aren't worried about the future. They want instant gratification. When they realize what they did, it's too late.
I once saw a lady step on a little boy's hand to get those cheap pearl looking beads that they throw. The kid's mother saw the whole incident and told the kid to let the woman have them because apparently she needs new "pearls" to wear to church. I no longer go to Mardi gras. Most of the time it is hot and I got tired watching people in my age group act like the aholes they probably are.
