What are your legit worries now that we are 2 weeks in?

What problems do you see that could possibly hold us back from reaching the playoffs after 2 weeks in? Be realistic, don’t overthink it.
For me:
1) Nuss inability to run. Getting tackled and tripped up by ghost. Can’t extend plays. Makes our o-line look not as good when they have to hold up a d-line rush the entire time. Mobile QB’s gas d-lineman and makes them take more plays off while in-play. Non-mobile QB’s gas the O-line.
2) Joe Sloan as of now. He’s doing a decent job but could do way better. Maybe he’s slowly unleashing schemes to beat other teams.
3) No RB 2 established that could carry the load as of now. We usually have 2 at all times. This year, Caden so far with a flash of Harlem Berry this past game.
That’s all I see that could hold this team back. Nothing bad to say about the defense right now, they look primed.

Not saying either is a legit RB2, but the Zavion Thomas and Jujuan Johnson carries look promising. When Sloan gets creative getting them the ball in the backfield, seems like we have had decent results

That Brian Kelly will find a way to frick up a good season

Ding ding ding.
He can run. He just won’t.

That combination gets us by to help with Caden load. If our RB1 goes down, it would be a tough hall

Nothing, we have a great defense.
Beating Clemson on the road is tough.
If you are concerned about offense, of course LSU was going to be vanilla against an in state school.
Offense will have more creativity this week

My legit worries. What is on the menu every Saturday? Will we have enough food and beer at the tailgate? Prioritizing the other games to have on the TV. I would say the weather, but like the outcome of the game, we have no control over that so laissez les bons temps rouler. It’s football season.

O-line depth…it already impacted us, but luckily we were playing La Tech.

1) The OL, specifically in run blocking. I think this goes without saying.
2) Nuss throwing Ints.
Not really like the one on the underthrown deep, but more on the almost pick he threw that Barion snagged, or when he scrambles and throws back across his body.
We got the kind of defense where I'm ok with him throwing it away and living for the next possession. I'd love it if he ran more at times, but it's ok if he just throws it away. I can live with that.
I'm worried about him giving the opponent a short field or a score off a pick.

well then we need to recruit only cam newton, tim tebow, burrow, JD5 types moving f orward who can pass and run. this shite with nuss is ridiculous.
sure we can run RPOs( we do not run enough of those either) without him needing to run, but the zone read is dead if he never runs the mfer when the backside DE crashed down on the dive.

Losing Braelin Moore

It’s not even an inability, it’s just a refusal.

About the RB situation, it feels like every time Kaleb Jackson gets a touch he is hit in the backfield.
Impossible to know if he’s made any strides if we can’t even get him to the LOS.

brian burger King kelly is the biggest concern.

The same worry that I had to start the season: offensive line. I don’t understand the distaste for Sloan, who was primarily responsible for an excellent game plan against Clemson and who put us in a position to put 30+ up on LaTech if Nuss could run and hit a deep pass. The offensive line continues to get no push in the run game and miss blocks or get beat in the pass game. It’s almost the only weakness we have.

We don’t even need to do that. We need a QB who runs a sub 5 40 yard dash (like Nuss) but is actually willing to run when a defender isn’t within 5 yards of him.
But yes it is ridiculous. He’s not an accurate enough passer to only rely on passing and our OL is arse right now.

1) Nuss running
2) Lack of production in red zone/play calling.
Our scoring offense is 108 in country right now. What in the actual F?
