AT&T is a staple in Downtown Dallas. If they leave due to the crime and homelessness in downtown it will be "White flight" corporate edition. Many more will leave. Neiman Marcus which is another downtown staple is about to leave too. I can't imagine Dallas without these 2 juggernauts. Every thriving metro needs a thriving downtown core in my opinion ... especially in 2025

I used to visit Downtown Dallas often for work so this is sad to hear. Even though Downtown Dallas has improved a lot in the last 10 years, the reputation of the area has countered all that. It wasn't nearly as dangerous and dirty 10 years ago as it is now. I mean the homelessness problem has always been bad but it seems to be getting worse

Man, 20 years ago, I remember visiting Dallas and commenting how clean it was. Sucks to hear how shitty it has become.

ATT will have bigger problems soon as Direct to Cell via Starlink is fully realized.

Just look at fhe voting color of the county and it will tell you how the urban areas will be. Houston is the same. Took my daughter to a baseball game in Houston a couple Fridays ago and even though we parked on the nicer side, we still saw druggy homeless people walking around and making insane noises. It’s insanity what is tolerated these days.

Interesting. Maybe it's not all about the crime and homelessness .... I never heard about this before

They’ll move to Frisco, or out to Celina, or Anna, or some bedroom community.

Bank of America is leaving from downtown to their soon to be new spot next to Kyle Warren Park.

We recently stayed at the Fairmont Dallas and walked around downtown on a Saturday and it was dead as hell.

Yeah but that's not Dallas. Dallas needs those tax dollars, this will weaken it's worldwide profile and appeal

Not a lot of people have. I work in Telecom so when the news hit today that Elon/Starlink bought AWS-4 Spectrum, the people who are smart are starting to see the writing on the wall.

And its not just ATT that will be in trouble.
