I've had time to reflect on this miserable game

1. I think Sloan gets too predictable with his playcalling, but he did have some great plays dialed up on the Nuss interception (should've been a TD), and there were drops by Brown, Thomas, etc. that were huge chunk plays that became missed opportunities.
2. My biggest issue with coaching is that we are still having trouble lining up correctly, getting the play called and getting everyone set in a timely fashion. We have way too many pre-snap penalties and we unnecessarily burn timeouts because of it and that is a major indictment on the coaching.
It became a problem under Miles and O's tenures here, and that is something that should have been nipped in the bud during the offseason.
3. D is going to keep us in games no matter what. I thought they played lights out outside of the Stamps dropped INT.
4. If we were playing in the Swamp, I wouldn't be nearly as confident, but I think we take care of business against Florida because of our vastly improved defense. I think offense will be better than last week, but we will continue to have bumps in the road until Moore comes back.
5. Ole Miss is going to be a big test for this team. We haven't won there since 2019, and Kiffin has been a thorn in our side since he got there. If we win there, I think we become a lock to make the playoffs with the way the schedule plays out.

As soon as we get inside the 10, i just expect a fieldgoal

Hard to really judge much given the opponent. It would be weird if we didn't have a fairly vanilla gameplan. You don't want to give away anything for future opponents if you don't have to.

As much as people want to bitch about Sloan, if Nuss throws with some accuracy and the receivers catch the catchable balls, we aren't even having this conversation. And also need to take into account that was a good defense. Take away our starting center and it got a little difficult but it wasn't as bad as it could have been.

The main thing that proved to me they were being vanilla was running all 180lbs of Harlem Berry up the middle on the goal line.
That will never happen in a meaningful game, surely.

When your o line cannot establish any threat of a running game or consistent passing pockets, you can’t serve Rocky road or pistachio almond. Running game isn’t a threat, so you drop 8 and nothing gets open.

And run when it's wide the hell open between you and the first down marker, especially when it's third down.

Running game scheme sucks. QB in drop back , single back, slow developing . We don’t have the OL to run that.

Honestly I think we kicked 3 FGs inside the 15. If we go for it and get it instead of being conservative we win 35-7. The OL was bad and Nuss had a few poor throws. But I doubt we see that against UF after this week of practice

Crazy times. I start a thread basically about calm down on the championship talk, that we are playing mediocre, mostly because of coaching.....and clowns scream non stop about how great the clemson win was.....and glaze over the glaring problems that you've mentioned.
People acting like the issues dont exist, because it was LA Tech, and not an SEC school that would have probably beat us, with our performance being the same.
If a team needs to be motivated when playing lesser opponents, then that's a red flag.

If Parker doesn’t drop two passes in the end zone and they bring in Durham inside the 10 on the last drive, it’s 35-7.

There is definitely problems on offense, presnap issues, vanilla playcalling which may have been the plan last weekend, offensive line cant run block worth a crap especially without Moore but the right guard gets exposed a lot too...
but your take on the defense is assinine

There have always been red flags with Kelly. I don't understand this board's obsession with him. If you pointed out any of his obvious shortcomings in the Clemson game, you got bombarded with downvotes from the sunshine pumpers. This team isn't championship material, and never will be under Kelly. They are never well prepared and don't do the little things right. Our coaches will lose us points in every game.

Can they turn on tape of Mizzou offense
They had two 100 yard rushers and you can't tell me their talent on offensive line and rb is any better then LSU

I thought Nuss would learn to step up in the pocket but he was as bad as ever backpedaling. Throwing with his feet not set, taking big losses. This is unacceptable for a veteran. He will NOT be a first round draft pick with these physical mistakes

This team struggled to run against TECH!

We shall see. But I do hope im wrong. Some really good OCs will have more and more film, and will exploit us if possible.

And if Stamps catches the INT then its 35-0.

You can expect it, but with Ramos its a 50/50 chance. He is horrible.
Why isn't the 2nd string guy FG starting? He nailed everything in the fall and has longer range.
