Pet Problems

My wife and I live in the country. We have two cats that are 50% inside and 50% outside. I put in a Power Pet door for the two cats to come in and out as they please (the 10 year old 75 lbs English bulldog won't fit through the door).
So they have collars with sensors, the door has a battery backup, they love it. We like it because we can go on vacation or do whatever and the cats are able to come and go as they please. We've never had a litter box.
The problem is the orange male is always bringing in live mice through the automatic door to show off. But he's so stupid that sometimes he loses them instead of killing them. Even when he kills them, we'll find random heads or guts on the bathroom floor.
This morning he brought a live mouse in, got distracted and lost it. So now the female cat, who is a much better mouser, is under the bed trying to find his lost mouse. My wife is pissed and threatening to shut off their door. I told her she's going to have to get over it.
TLDR--male orange cat is a low-functioning retard and my wife is already pissed off on a beautiful Saturday morning. Also all three are spoiled as shite. The bulldog gets food ordered from the Farmer's Dog and if my dog doesn't seem to interested in eating, my wife will hand feed her with a spoon.

I'd get rid of the cats before I ever put a litter box inside. They love it outside and have the woods, my shop buildings and all kinds of entertainment.
I look at the occasional mouse guts as the cost of doing business.

Crisis averted. The female cat who is a certified mouse and snake killer, was able to find it and kill it.
The male orange was totally disinterested in finding the lost mouse.

This is insane.
This may be one of those things where you need to hear it from someone who doesn't care how many mice are in your home. I have no reason to lie to you.
The mice inside of your home are far more disgusting than a litter box you clean well. You're on the wrong side of this argument.

We got the two cats about 3 years ago for mainly rodent issues. Squirrels cost me $5k in vehicle damage.
The female cat kills small squirrels as well and they keep mice and snakes away from my 3 shop buildings, my sheds, trailers, tractor, boat, etc.
I'll take the occasional nuisance because of a dumb ginger male in order to keep the rodents at bay. Like I said, I live in the country and dont have neighbors, so the cats love their free reign and then safety of the house to relax and get attention and eat food.
