Walked into Lowe’s this past weekend as was stopped by a leaf filter rep…. Ended up signing up for a quote. 7k for just gutters on a 2,000sf Home and 16k for gutters with leaf filter installed. Rep said the increase in price with the filter is they use medical grade stainless mesh. Who can afford that???

I paid $1,900 in April 2024 to have someone put gutters on a 1,850 square foot house. You’re getting ripped off big time.

Or just install them all yourself. I'm thinking about ripping the gutters off my house. I fail to see the point of them. They get clogged with leaves. Even with the leaf filter on, they still get clogged but now you have to deal with the damn filters being in the way as well.

Go to Leaf4Go website and install gutter guards yourself. Extremely easy to do. 6” gutters with install should be around 4k

LeafFilter and big national home service companies are sales companies, not gutter companies. They’re trying to frick as many people as possible for the highest possible ticket. They’re not even trying to price things in the same way as the rest of the legitimate companies in their industry and individual market, they’re just trying to maximize money + customers for doing something simple.

When you see it that way it makes way more sense, go with someone local and reputable. Gutter guards are dumb as shite anyway and fail after a few years and trap debris in your gutters, just pay someone to clean your gutters for like $100/year

I paid $3300 on a 3400sq house in 2023. Call gutter companies, not Lowes. That was with an upgrade for round downspouts. It was $8.50/ linear ft for the the gutters and $9.50/ linear ft for the downspouts.

I just had gutters installed for 3200ft house for $3600 with 8 downspouts.

Custom install. Stay away from Home Depot gutters.

And this is the very reason I bought a house 16 years ago and never have installed gutters. I got quotes and thought it was a ripoff.

I have the only house in the neighborhood without gutters and have never missed them. I honestly don’t know why gutters are so popular.

I have a 16’ patio cover. The damn thing drains off right between the slab and grass and the ground has receded. I only want that one 16’ spot with a gutter to redirect that shite into a downspout.

I physically am unable to do that myself with a Lowe’s or HD gutter, so about how much should that cost, would anyone know?

In this case, I would just try to find some handyman that you could hire to hang that short section.
