What would've happened if LSU was snitched on about Haulcy AFTER the game?

Would the NCAA have forced LSU to vacate the win for playing an ineligible player?

If they pulled that shite, LSU fans would have traveled to Indianapolis (NCAA headquarters) in tanks and started firing.

Nah, he would have just been suspended for this week instead

Nothing. Ncaa doesn't have teeth anymore.

Nothing would have happened to LSU, but Roger Goodell would've retroactively fined Vontaze Burfict

It would have become public which compliance department messed up. If it was Houston, LSU wouldn’t be in any trouble and Haulcy would have been suspended for a different game, likely this week.
If LSU, then we may have had to officially vacate the win for playing an ineligible player for a half, but with their slow processes and appeals, it wouldn’t have been this year, but retroactive sometime after the season.

I’m not sure how the NCAA could blame LSU for not knowing but they probably would. Glad it all worked out.

Related in a round-about- way but talking about this, Scarborough said that Dabo is well known through out the League for grilling recruits on campus about their other recruiting visits, looking for dirt. FWIW

my guess is that they would use the "it's your responsibility to know" line.

I mean, it kinda is on LSU. Our compliance team should have this as part of the transfer process, a procedural check.
Only way this is not on LSU is if the NCAA or conference (whoever ruled after the game to upgrade the situation from unsportsmanlike conduct to fighting) had told that to Houston in private and they never disclosed it. I would have suspected the UH beat writer at the Chronicle or local media to have had a blurb about it somewhere.

They likely just make him sit an entire game, I don't see a scenario where they would have made LSU vacate the win because Clemson still would have the loss, we just wouldn't have the win. Don't see a situation where the NCAA does that. Especially with him being transferred in.

The US army wouldve then invaded Venezuela

How come we had to be ratted on and nobody on our coaching staff knew??

This kind of thing actually has precedent. Fortunately for us it would have been in our favor and it would have fallen on UH to provide that notice to the player (they didn't) and the team he transferred to (they didn't).
