Those week one losses sting. His current contract runs through 2031 season. Making over 11 million this season. Really hate to see the melt.

Clemson has always been cultish, but the current fanbase has a ton people who follow Clemson because of Dabo's personality cult and his affiliation with New Spring Church and Perry Noble. Those folks will drink the kool-aid until the end.

Clemson is still one of the best, or the best team in the ACC, every year.
Their first 2 NCs under Dabo after a 35 year drought also makes this tough.
But they were much better with Venables as DC, and with 5-star dual threat QBs.

They should be careful what they wish for. Dabo built their program and is the only reason Clemson is or has been relevant for the last 10 years. Once he’s gone, Clemson won’t survive. They aren’t a premier program or HC destination.

Yeah Venables is missed big time. Klubnik has some wheels out of the pocket, maybe they should dial some run options up for him until he figures out how to be a consistently accurate passer

Shot I saw I guy post at 7 minutes into the game calling for his head. Every fanbase has their share delusional nuts.
My favorite was multiple people losing their minds on the last 4th down when Kelly called the timeout but the players didn’t hear the whistle and it was incomplete.
At least 7 posts about we had them off the field why would you call a timeout. It was as if they thought he saw the incompletion and turnover and rather than get the ball back they said “nah let’s have a TO and try again.”

You mean like former 5 star dual threat, top 15 overall recruit Cade K whos in his 3rd yr starting? Clemson is loaded across the board. They looked very average at home, with all of this supposed 1st round talent.

To be fair, a lot of them own that. If you look at their board, the majority of posters basically take the tack of “he’s not what he was, and it’s all downhill from here. But he built it, so if he wants to stay long enough to tear it down, that’s his right. He’s my coach until he retires.”
