Looks like there will be at least six Republicans running for the nomination, hopefully he doesn't get the nomination do to a crowded field.

Currently running:
Cassidy (I)
John Fleming - state treasurer
Blake Miguez - state senator from New Iberia
Eric Skrmetta - Public Service Commissioner
Kathy Seiden - St. Tammany Parish Councilwoman

Pending
Julia Letlow - U.S. Rep (Julie Emerson - state rep, will run if Letlow does not)

Miguez already took all the money south of I-10, even had former Cassidy campaign contributors go all in with max contributions.

This is all the more reason Louisiana needs a wealthy rainmaker to be able to pull the stings. I'd say the LAGOP could weigh in but they're embarrassingly inept. Like...they're so so terrible. But there needs to be some big money behind whomever gets Trump's endorsement and that's how you make it happen. Thin this crowd. Too many candidates on the R side could get Cassidy the nomination somehow..

And then I'm gonna have to vote for a dem. I'll actively campaign for the Democrat if it's against Cassidy if it sadly comes down to that. That's just how much he makes my blood boil.

Don’t underestimate the lethal combination of apathy and ignorance that guides Louisiana voters.

Trump should come out against Cassidy now and torpedo him.

“ Just saw his ad during the UT/OSU game”

It was such a lie. Cassidy voted to impeach Trump!

Bill Cassidy will have to resort to actual bribery to win.

This is exactly how they get bad candidates through the primary.

Guarantee some of those candidates were promised something later to jump in the race.

He's going to win easily unfortunately.

Were 7 months from the primary and the state GOP hasn't rallied behind a challenger. The LA GOP hasnt made an endorsement, Landry wants Letlow to run. Cassidy has enough name recognition vs the others that many will just vote for him by default.

There's too many Republicans running right now and a couple more are rumored to enter. Not good. When it comes down to it, if he's in the top two, the incumbent wins most of the time.
