Because of mass media or, is there a new epidemic of mass insanity? I’m basically talking about everything the Dems and MSM represent. The list is too long to list.

I think its a combination of more insanity in the world and more news coverage available to broadcast it to us

It’s easier now more than ever to be insane because it’s so easy to find other insane people via the internet.

Instead of being like, “am I the weird one?” because they can’t find others like them, now they can go find more and become a pack of weirdos in no time.

I'd say both. Our society and culture have been diminished woth all this globalist, woke, Marxist insanity and everything is blasted in all directions thru social media.

Crazy arse world now days... folks can't or won't say what a woman is

Radical Feminism and Marxism made a suicide pact, officially merged, took control of The Democrat Party and seized full control of our Institutions.

Then men and traditional women politely stepped off stage thinking it was so batshit crazy that it would self-correct and it didn't. At that point Western Culture went completely off the rails, and we woke up to a world where politicians demonized praying for murdered children and pleaded for respect for womyn with horse cocks and semi-automatic weapons.

The internet , especially Twitter, has made it a lot crazier.

And people try to go viral so it's worse now.

People are perpetually online consuming their preferred flavor of media 24/7 now, and there is no shortage of sources, legit, bullshite, and everything in between, working constantly to fill that trough.

The smart phone exposing our most vulnerable to the insanity that we see today is the problem. Before the smart phone we were exposed mostly to our family and our circle of friends. Now the internet and social media opens the door to the lunacy that's going on around us. We didn't see this transgender nonsense before social media reared it's ugly head. On a side note. There is no such thing as transgenderism. Transgenderism is biologically impossible. These people are transvestites who enjoy dressing as the opposite sex and pretending to be something that their not. Putting on a dress and slapping on some lipstick doesn't make you a woman. It makes you a mental case that needs help.

Its always been there, but your parents/grandparents taught you to avoid it. Those people then stuck out like a sore thumb in daily society

Then the media and the courts took over, and these freaks became glorified. Representations were required to be in every movie, TV show, music video etc. It was normalized. And you were the one ostracized rather than them

Its like the Manson family. They were outcasts until he taught them that thier homicidal behaviors were justified. Just think of Hollywood as Charles Manson. All the writers/directors/producers are wanting affirmation, so they put insanity into their media projects that comes from their own history

No. With the introduction of social media, the insanity has only increased and amplified. Normal people are now exposed to insane rantings and hate laced diatribes on a daily basis. Trending topics include horrific crimes and violence.

in my day, the Simpsons were considered controversial for TV and cursing on on air was considered appalling.. Two live crew's music was banned. Now wet arse pussy tops the charts and female promiscuity is celebrated and men are hated just for existing.

We are being socially engineered and most dont even realize it

If you want insane, look at the 1965-1985 period

And I'm not even talking about the huge crime rate spike that started in the mid-70s.

Cults, serial killers, Urban degradation, and general malaise were insane, especially in the '70s.

Just the cults alone are crazy. So many major cults with tens of thousands of members, sometimes international in scope, with a few that still exist to this day like Scientology and the children of God. God. Absolute insanity and a real sign of where society was at

The world has always been in a state of flux and that the problems of the present are not unique to current generations.

No. People used to make up thier own minds on thing. Now with social media and the psychotic urge to virtue signal to complete strangers people are being manipulated by wide spread propaganda like never before

i think the insanity has always been there. I think that small little USAID cuts has cut the spigot on hundreds of NGOs and liberal influencers. Combine that with people losing money based solely on DEI stuff, a lot of people are F'd.

the real culture has never been as "woke" or left as you were lead to believe. We were just paying for our own astroturfing and brainwashing.

so all they have is to lash out insanely.

Always. Probably the same percentage of humans with brains that are a bit broken.

100 years ago a lot of people on social media would be institutionalized or have an audience solely consisting of cats.

Mental illness is celebrated by most liberals. Some liberals go even further crazy trying to out do other crazies.

Its like a badge of honor for them to have a tranny kid.

Throughout the 6000 year old history of earth mankind has been able to distinguish between a man and woman.

Thankfully we have evolved past that and have libs to enlighten us now

I think they were so used to creating this guilt over weak people AND creating this cancel culture, that they thought it would never end.

Plus, people now understand paid protesters, and paid influencers, and people being paid to post online.

Now, it’s over for them.

Far more insanity around in these modern times. Because of all the bizarre rabbit holes that now abound (proliferated by the internet), coupled with the free time so many people have. In my grandparents days, people were just too busy, and lived more structured lives where family, community and society prevented the weaker, more vulnerable minds from bending too inward and going into weird or dark places.

Historically there's always been a certain percentage of folks with cracked-brains, full of delusions, thinking they were Napoleon, etc., and they were shipped off to the bughouse. But now, we have a culture and environment that actively cultivates insanity, sweeping up the large segment of borderline types that would have stayed on the straight-and-narrow in earlier periods.
