John Curtis put it on EJ with 36 points in the first half... Karr is currently beating West Jeff

RIP Parkview Baptist football
Got throttled 27-7 by Brusly
QB needs to hang it up and not mess his baseball career up playing for that crap

The Mighty Live Oak Eagles put a jamboree whooping onto the Hammond Tornadoes. 32-13 IIRC.
As someone in our group of band parents said, "Hammond must be really bad."

I’m trying to ask this question / figure it out respectfully here:
Can someone explain to me the interest in high school football if you don’t have a kid on a team or don’t live near the school you went to / played for? I played and personally couldn’t care less about HS ball. I watch college and pro football religiously however
I’m genuinely curious and glad that people like it, I just really don’t get it and want to hear what I may be missing about it. Not above changing opinions.

I mean everyone knows Louisiana has some of the best talent there is, who become your future college and pro stars, and it has to get exposure somewhere.
And we’re not really a transient state. There are a LOT of multi-generational people who count their schools as traditions.
Most of us do live near who we root for. Most of us can’t always afford to get to a college or pro game, and even if we could, most high school games have an enjoyable small-town atmosphere with small-town prices. There’s also something about being outdoors when the weather gets good again after summer, as well as (for some teams) exploring the back roads or seeing a different part of the state in the playoffs.

Fair enough, and I see what you’re saying. Im sure I’ll get into it more in a few years when my boy is (hopefully) playing for P’ville high. Currently on year 4 of rec league with the P’ville Broncos and he loves it. One more year til he can maybe play in middle school

Not going all in for David Simineau a few years ago, since he’s alumni, was a catastrophically bad decision.
Kenny Guillot would not be impressed.

Bruh.. Walker looked like shite last week against a previous 2-9 Slidell team. I would hold off on on saying they are about to tear anyone up.

You two need to go to one of the games. The best show in a small town on Friday nights by far. He’ll love the experience of he hasn’t been. I bet he’ll want to go back next Friday.

Liberty put it on McKinlely last night, 27-0. Not that that’s some major feat but we are looking better under Coach Zach than we ever did under Boone. Still not much depth or size, but it should be less painful to watch than the constant double-wing T. Defense looks to be pretty solid. And we actually run special teams now! Lol.

Oof. This is not good especially in a Jamboree.

Every so often a HS game is on that is far better than the college game ESPN is showing. I have no vested interest in HS football other than entertainment and I always find its worth it to check out whatever game Cox is televising. Especially later in the season when the rivalries start playing. Those games can be really good.
