Items at Walmart locked behind a case that delay their sale.

I know theft is obviously an issue, but what about the financial impact of items that never get sold because they are behind a locked case?
That business model has got to be failing when I wait 10 minutes near the family planning case, get associates to page someone for a key, wait some more and finally leave because nobody shows up. It’s absurd. Sales have to be tanking. It’s ridiculous and it happens all the time.

My walmarks have condoms behind locked glass, Walgreens doesn't though.
I either buy from walgreens or send the hubby in to wmart cuz I'm not waiting around for that.
Theft is wrong, but seriously... the people that would steal condoms are definitely the people you want using them.

Why does walmart lock up condoms anyway? Do the crime people put them over their gun barrels like in nam? They apparently aren't using them for anything else
