LSU fans may get to actually see Trey Palmer play some meaningful snaps

Sucks to lose Payton especially, but also Jackson. I imagine both were very likely headed to our ps had they cleared.

Curious who the 2 cuts are. 1 wr has to be a cut, but not necessarily oline for the other.

Might cut Velus. That makes the most sense to me

Truss is a big ol’ boy. You’d think CSP would have given us the lowdown on him as he was waived by Denver. I’m all for bringing in as many guards as possible at this point.

And go with 3 HBs? Not sure we do that with 0 FBs and only 3 TEs, but he is someone they can try to stash on the ps if so.

I was thinking likely an ILB (5 for 2 spots currently; Stalbird the cut) or CB (6 for 3 spots currently; Wright the cut).

Could also be Simpkins as he needs more seasoning, as they try to sneak him to the ps.

Olineman are in extremely high demand right now
If you PS Simpkins be prepared to put him back on the 53 lol

No way shape or form they risk losing him. They can’t lose any offensive lineman at this point

This is why I think it will be an ILB or CB, but IF they release an olinemen you have to figure it's him.

ILB and CB are the 2 spots that both feel a player heavy on spots and have guys that are on the bottom end of the roster.

Hate that we waived both Rico Payton and Jackson. They both had some potential but it's all a numbers game.

Not uncommon, and Palmer returns kicks

Sometimes the bottom of the roster is fluid between game day and practice week

It wouldn't be shocking, but I just don't expect it with the lack of around the line skill players we have currently.

He would be more likely than those at a lot of other positions though. I also wouldn't be surprised if we keep Velus and cut Neal. Neal didn't flash a ton in preseason and was only a 6th rounder, so they may move him to the ps. I don't see him as being in danger of getting claimed, where someone might claim Velus as a returner.

Not really. They were both on the edge of getting a roster spot and we kept Wright/ Stalbird who have just as much upside.

I hope we drop Cedrick Wilson with this addition. That was meant as a pun because Wilson is arse and can't catch.

Like both these guys. Upper level speed and upper level size. Truss is a mauler in the run game.

Wilson is familiar with the offense, so there may be attractive to Moore. And Wilson is a Boise guy too

So Palmer historically has caught 41% of the passes thrown his way?

Doesn't seem like that's the type of production that will help this system.

I don't see where the cut comes otherwise.

Tipton would be claimed.

Cooks is the only other guy that it could happen with
