I don't think flipping the bird conveys what I'm trying to say.
Clearly we need something that is obvious because people so stupid to sit there on their phones won't get anything that is subtle...
Ideas??

yes you have to pull alongside and give them the look. Which is harder and harder to do these days with all the ghetto window tint
when I see dark window tint I immediately assume you also have chrome spinners and curb feelers

Would’ve been cool if they made a law that allowed cops to pull them over but we got this abomination of a law now.

Gesturing is distracted driving. Don't take your eyes off the road.
Pulling them over is a matter of priority. Only so many cops on the road, why pull over someone driving the speed limit but on a phone? Meanwhile someone else is DUI or reckless driving but oops we pulled over a guy on his phone instead?

Do you use a scope when you give the bird?

One time my wife and I saw a lady texting on the interstate as we passed her. Traffic stopped and we happened to be next her again. We got her attention and said “stop texting and driving ”. She got super pissed from jump street and yelled “I’m NOT!”
At that point I knew it was hopeless to stop it.

Use the phone symbol - thumb and little finger extended. Hold it to your ear then turn it down like you are hanging up.

Isn't that what your horns for?

Hold your phone out and wave it at them.

The inherent problem with your idea is that they're not paying attention, they're looking at their phones, not at you. If they're in front of me, I just lean on my horn.
