Yet another member of the 2019 team making it to the NFL. Insane.

The ultimate feel good story. This dude knows the meaning of "grind".

In what role? RB or a special teams player?

Glad for him, being a grinder and great teammate goes a long way in the NFL. Not surprised a team made room for Josh, he is a valuable asset regardless of wherever or whatever his role will be.

I'm sure he's a reserve running back and will play all special teams. What does it matter?

Just an honest question. Not intended to be an insult to Josh

I wish everyone didn’t choose to be offended and insulted all the time even when there’s no insult to be found.

NFL teams dont really have the luxury to have "special teams only" players outside of kickers, punters, long snappers and MAYBE a return specialist (these still almost always play a position occasionally or even start on O/D too). With only 53 roster spots and 3-4 taken up by special teams only guys like that you dont have the luxury of just finding a few special teams only guys who couldnt give you anything a position of value as well.

Yes backups in the 2/3 deep at O/D positions will spend most if not some almost all their time playing special teams, but they arent there to only ever do that. You gotta be able to play a position well enough that when called upon you can produce.

He likely won’t get carries unless one or two of the guys ahead of him are hurt, but will have an extensive special teams role.

Probably someone who hates rags to riches stories because his own journey didn't work out so far beyond the likelihood of his original intentions (to get a scholarship after being a walk-on).

His work ethic most certainly is in the top 10% of all of us. A great inspirational story to share (especially) with kids about what can be accomplished in life with the right plan, mindset and follow through.

I also suspect he was an excellent motivational example and member in the locker room.
