I would be fricking lying if I wasn’t anxious to see the offensive line but ngl as we get closer to game time I’m more and more confident the good guys will pull it off. We are the deeper team and at some point this opening game losing streak has to end. Kelly revamped his motivation tactics all offseason has been devoted to beating Clemson. I don’t see us coming out with “ just another game “ energy. This team has a golden opportunity to make a statement. Playing in games like this is why you come to LSU. I expect physicality and purple & gold swagger.

31-24 is my score prediction. I think after a slow start the offense will start to move the ball , I think the defense will be the story of the show. With new tools to work with , I think Blake baker will have this defense playing fast, physical and mean. I expect the true LSU brand of defense to return this year.

I will be surprised if LSU wins. Just don't see BK ever producing an elite LSU team.

Not anxious.
Now come kickoff time - the bourbon will help.

It’s out of our control.

I believe this team will be more prepared.

Excited for this game and the season.

I really hope the at we have a solid first quarter gameplan. This will dictate the environment.
Need to settle in and hopefully create some momentum early. It will help tremendously with our OLine.

Oh & and let us LOOSE.
I think we’ll play fast and cause some turnovers

Lets Geaux !

Cautiously optimistic for a W.

BK spent 18MM on this roster, so I am expecting dogs on the field Saturday.

With that said, Clemson is a very good team and in their house. Wouldn’t shock me if we lose a close one. But I have a sneaky feeling BK finds a way in this one.

I am over the moon to watch this defense play. I am very scared to watch this offense play. It takes a creative OC to call plays around an OL and I don't think Sloan is that.

My stupid LSU brain still thinks we win.

This year OL will be >>>> than last year OL.

Stop sweating it fellas.

This season goes how Nuss goes.

Do we have "comfortable lead and throw over the middle running to your left" Nuss or do we have "raised my QB IQ about 60 points" Nuss?

That's the key.

If the later, we're likely a deep playoff team.

Still Clemson at home will be tough. Fortunately they didn't schedule a Week 0 opponent.

I am anxious.

Can we run the ball efficiently or is Caleb not going to have any running lanes?

I have a huge want to believe the defense is going to be hellacious but just have to see it.

I’m feeling the love. We’re going to win a bunch of games. Could be special.
1)We have the best overall talent on defense we’ve had in a decade.
2)We have 5 receivers that can take top off the defense. And an experienced QB to get it to them.
3)We have a SIGNIFICANT upgrade at the center position (the key to a 5 man unit).
4)Lastly, not very much turnover in the coaching staff for the first time in a decade. Coach Williams alone would have been better than no DL coach like we didn’t have 2 years ago.

Mixed. I think we win but nervous.

Depends on CB2 for defense and the RG position on offense in a game like this.

I think we are a slightly better team than Clemson with more talent just depends on the “game”.

I’m betting a Nuss transformation like we saw with Burrow & Daniels. If that happens than it will be a great season

everyone on the LSU board is predicting a big win, everyone on the Clemson board is saying Clemson big.

I expect nothing less. I just heard Staples and Wasserman both take Clemson -4 and Brock Huard did as well today. Bring it on

This is where I'm at. Really no outcome will surprise me, but I feel that if the OL can hold up we have a better than average shot to win.

I appreciate the stability coach BK has brought to the program and assembling a solid staff.

He did a good job this offseason going out and finding some upgrades and put together what I think is a good roster.

That being said, I don’t consider him an elite coach who’s going to have us consistently making the playoffs and competing for national championships.

I expect to continue losing 3-4 games most years, with the first one being this Saturday.

Would love to be wrong with this, but this is just how I feel.

Cautiously optimistic. A lot to be excited about, but that OL will determine our entire season. We have to have a solid OL. They don't have to be great, but solid. Feel good about our defense, but Nuss has to have time to throw and the RBs have to be able to run the ball enough to keep the opposing defense honest. If defenses are allowed to load the box every time because the OL can't perform, a .500 season wouldn't be unrealistic.

You mean like when BK lost 3-4 games a year at ND when every opponent had that game circled.BK had 1bad year at ND , the rest mostly 10-11 wins a year.I understand why fans think we should win every game we play ,but LSU hasn’t had the overall talent you people think. Now they do so let’s see how it goes before you fire him.If you think LSU should beat Clem because we just show up and have more talent than they do you are blind. They have 6 number 1draft choices at home ranked higher than us and if we lose it’s BKs fault.Cant make this shite up

You almost couldn’t pick a worse spot for an opener. Otherwise, I’m excited to see what we have this year.

.500???? Worst case is .500 in sec play and even that seems extremely unlikely imo. I think we go 10-2. We are NOT going 6-6
