2022 - LSU favored by -3.5

2023 - LSU favored by -2

2024 - LSU favored by -4

So this is the first time, LSU and BK are dogs for the opening game. Clemson is -4.

Let’s hope that the script is flipped this year.

Our terrible offensive guards have me worried.

Well, this is the first time he's played an opener that wasn't a "neutral site".

This is the bs that needs to be ended on thos site. You are literally bashing players without seeing them perform, even once. How about waiting until they play a game or two before bashing?

We'll see. I wouldn't underestimate the homefield advantage, and also Dabo>BK

LSU over 8.5 wins is easy money. Clemson I really think is a 50/50 game. Maybe slight edge towards LSU roster based on Clemson performance last year but it is offset by homefield adv.

This is why CBK circled this game months ago.

And by far the best team #4 and on the road and a better coach and a better DL and a better QB and at their place. CBK has plenty excuses but just can’t use them. The Rant seems to be the only place that thinks we are favored by 10 and playing at home. If this game is competitive and lives up to its billing there’s no added heat to CBK from a mathematical point. But laying an EGG will surely get the pot boiling. I think which either team wins the line is not a factor. To me the victor will win by more than 10.

Exactly. If wd would have won 20 openers in a row, Clemson would still be favored.

I’m hoping we fix isdues that have plagued us in game one. Poor tackling, confused defenders, ST mistakes, unforced penalties, and a feeble running attack. If we do most of that I will be happy. We have not looked ready in game one and Clemson is by far our toughest opponent to open with.

It has a lot to do with the Clemson QB hype.

Hard truth is we don't know wtf to expect with this opener.

Instead of towering in fear about it, why not take this chance to let that fear turn into excitement and get very, very optimistic about this season while you still can.

Isn't that the fun of being a fan? Get your head lost in the clouds until reality brings us back down.

16-0. We win every game by 28+

LSU was also favored in 2021 and 2020 openers and lost.

There's no excuse to lose to #4 on the road?

Who is the brainchild behind all these season openers away from Tiger Stadium? We should host first when agreeing to a home and away with non conference programs.

No excuse for Kelly dropping all of his openers at LSU.

Clemson's HFA is a serious concern for Saturday's game. I hope I'm wrong, but I visualize something similar to Virginia Tech's blowout loss at LSU in 2007. And Va Tech was a very good team that year and were even talked about as an NC game participant.
