Neither may ever develop into anything but they BOTH are young, inexperienced players still learning how to play the position at the NFL level. The amount of people expecting elite level play from 1st & 2nd year QBs is astonishing to be honest with you.

the sheer # of attempts given for Shough negates this... he was given way more opportunities for throws than Rattler was, so that lessens the "he played with the starters more" theory.... i forgot to add that Rattler had 6.8 ypa, and Shough had 6.2 ypa...

yeah, we suck at WR too, that's for sure... if anything there should have been MORE drops/incompletions of Rattler's throws, being he has ZERO touch on his passes, whereas Shough does... that's actually one of the things he's clearly better at vs. Rattler... so either the WRs are actively trying to make Shough look bad by dropping them on purpose, or i dunno, they could just suck and it seems they would have dropped the ball no matter who was throwing them ball... which one do you think makes more sense?

well, i guess our coaches should have utilized that time with our better WRs more, bc Rattler had 11 passing attempts less than Shough... today alone Rattler had 12 less than Shough...

again, it's pretty evident the coaching staff was doing EVERYTHING they could to create daylight between Shough and Rattler, to justify giving Shough the starting gig... he played longer, had more attempts and yet still couldn't do it... 12/20, 102 yds 0 TDs... he did have the rushing TD, i'll give him that, but on that play call, Rattler would have walked into the endzone all the same...

and look, i know it seems like i'm endorsing Rattler as better than Shough... i'm not.. i'm just pointing out Shough is not any better, or at best, minimally better than Shough... Shough is not supremely better than Rattler, as some here seem to think or try to make it...

if we are being honest, and as i have said MANY times here already in other threads, BOTH of them are garbage QBs, with their ceiling being a career back up in the NFL and nothing more... so, no I'm not advocating for Rattler to be our next "franchise" QB.... i'm just saying that I don't think EITHER of these guys are starting caliber NFL QBs and thinking one is better than the other is like trying to find a beauty queen amongst all the girls in special ed...
