Huge federal operation targeting certain neighborhoods in Baton Rouge. This type of stuff needs to happen in every city. Photos in link
"BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - A multi-agency initiative to reduce violent crime in the Baton Rouge area has led to over a hundred arrests and the seizure of hundreds of dangerous drugs.
The Louisiana governor’s office and the U.S. Department of Justice released details about Operation Violent Crime Takeover in Baton Rouge during a news conference on Wednesday, Aug. 20.
“This operation resulted in a reduction of violent gang activity and included over 106 arrests, seizure of over 100 firearms, 32 machine gun conversion devices, almost a quarter of a million dollars in cash seized, 693 grams of fentanyl seized, over 6,200 ounces of marijuana, 41 ounces of synthetic mojo seized, over 3,900 grams of cocaine seized, heroin, and methamphetamine,” said Gov. Jeff Landry.
Federal and state officials are helping local-level law enforcement with these ongoing proactive operations in Baton Rouge.
“Federal grand juries have returned 52 indictments charging 68 defendants with various federal crimes, including distribution of fentanyl, distribution of meth, possession of firearms by prohibited person, who would be those who have prior convictions or are subject to a domestic violence restraining order. We’ve had charges with using firearms in furtherance of other crimes and with assaulting federal officers,” said Acting U.S. Attorney Ellison C. Travis."

Narrator:
The Democrat judges ultimately didn't sentence a single perp, and every crime was committed many times over.

That's what I was going to say. It's not arresting them that's the problem, it's keeping them in jail.
