Potable reclaimed water refers to highly treated wastewater that has been purified to drinking water standards and can be safely used for human consumption. This process, known as potable reuse, involves multiple advanced treatment and disinfection steps to remove impurities and pathogens, ensuring the water meets or exceeds all drinking water regulations.

What says the OT? Open to trying it?

In some areas its already in use. In others it will be a necessity in the future. Are you open to it, or will it always be arse to glass?

All water has been reclaimed at some point, right?

Yeah, the water we drink today was at one point dinosaur piss

As long as it's gone through disinfection and treatment, it's safe to drink

If you've visited, Texas, Florida, California, Arizona etc. you've likely already tried it.

I mean.. you do what you have to do.

If my options are drinking heavily treated wastewater vs. drinking groundwater from a 10,000’ aquifer, I’ll take the groundwater.

If my options are drinking heavily treated wastewater vs. dying of dehydration, then bottoms up I suppose.

There’s a lot of ground between those extremes. But anyone whose municipal tap water comes from the Mississippi River (assuming they aren’t in like northern Minnesota) is already doing this to some degree - it’s just diluted with rain/melt water.

This is the type of water that these AI centers in Louisiana should use instead of tapping into a municipal water supply or the aquafer.

Didn't the st pete area use reclaimed water for plant watering or is that what the city water was? It had an order to it. Like the essence of prior life.

I want to say they do seawater, or they did

The cost of potable reclaimed water is like 10x regular water

When I was a kid we went to FL on a vacation and to see old friends from when we lived in Tampa. We stayed in a little town near Frostproof where we wouldn't even rinse plastic utensils in the water. We didn't bathe that day and were glad to move on.

It was sulfur water. So strong that when we opened the door we could smell the sulfur from the toilets and sink drains. The whole town was like that. I remember turning on the shower for like 10 seconds before starting to gag and turning it off. We ate sandwiches/burgers outside so the sulfur would not gag us.

I guess they stopped teaching the water cycle some time ago, if anyone thinks that any water hasn't been through the wringer unceasingly since the beginning of formed water.

Depends solely on where it was reclaimed from and more importantly who reclaimed it.
