Maybe just getting Curne some reps with the 1s?
Curious if they are solely on to prep for Clemson now so could be significant

Strange. Thought I'd seen positive reviews on Weston Davis at tackle.

Yeah I thought all reports were Weston Davis was having a monster camp. It could be just trying to get Curne first team reps to get him ready in case injuries happen. Unless this holds true for a few more days I dont think I would read too much in to it.

We shouldn't be having a significant change up on the OL this close to the start of the season. The OL couldn't block or move in the spring game and doesn't seem like much is changing. Unfortunately Brad Davis is what is stopping this team from being elite.

Possibly, but I think there might be more to it and there is an actual battle brewing at RT. They said Curne has almost exclusively played LT so far in fall camp. We should find out more tomorrow.

This is going to happen multiple times this year. Curne (and others, like Solomon or Coen) will push for time and potentially win jobs outright by year end.
I’ll say it again, there’s a badass 5 man unit in this locker room. It’s just not clear who that is or how quickly it’ll get sorted out.

Probably locked up... until tomorrow. While all the shuffling is a cause for concern, I'd rather them tinker to find the best 5 now instead of in the middle of the season.

I think Chester is leading the LG race, think this was more tinkering to get guys reps together. I still fully expect to see from left to right

BK just had a presser where he talked about how great this OL was and he knows because of all the great OL he's coached.
Doesn't make sense to now shuffle permanently unless there's injuries or training backups as other posters said.

So do you think in 2022 we were better or worse with Emory Jones at RT?
If you agree we were better don’t you think that BK wishes in hindsight they had gotten Jones ready for FSU rather than worrying about two TF OTs?
Also I’m sure I could track some posts of yours down knocking BK deferring to upperclassmen too much early in a season

This is so funny to me. A bunch of has-beens and/or never-weres who don’t know anything about offensive lines are trying to wrap their heads around something they don’t understand..

It’s practice, they’re playing around with different combinations to see what they have.
Please stop acting like the made up rotation contrived off of stereotypes and preconceived notions in your head is the final answer here. The o-line will shuffle. And it will continue to do so until they mesh as a unit. Might be before the Clemson game, might be week 6.
But you guys are gonna continue to work yourselves up into a frenzy every time practice notes are posted, aren’t you?
